So Bennet the Sage did a review of Cutey Honey, and it got me wondering...who *IS* the best combat gynoid there is? They don't have to be designed for combat originally, but they do need to be 'full robot', which rules out some like Alita and Nuku Nuku, it's not a 'don't want them in it' but it's more a 'line'. I'm not going for 'most powerful,' so much as best overall as a character, etc.

My personal pick probably goes to Aigis from Persona 3, really, just for all her character development.

capcha: hands down
semi appropriate!

I had to google that to figure out what the heck you're talking about. So, female combat robots or androids? Right? I'm going to go with the replicants Pris and Zhora from Blade Runner. As for full-on robots probably Elita One or Arcee from Transformers. Also, would GLaDOS count?

Shame Motoko Kusanagi doesn't count as she's all robot other than what's in her brain case :)

I'd say GlaDOS is more computer and less robot than a typical gynoid.

Pris definitely should count, definitely got my vote there.

First one to come to mind...

Yes later we learn she is carrying the soul of Mary Magdalene, but the body is almost entirely synthetic and the Wiki describes her as a battle Gynoid.

Though in terms of interesting character development, I would prefer Black Arachnia from Beast Wars. Fully robot like all Transformers, very snarky and one of the most capable fighters in the series even when everyone else starts getting Transmetal upgrades. Then her upgrade makes her a telekinetic!

FYI: for any reader who doesnt know what what a Gynoid is... (ie me about 3 seconds ago)

From wiki :
A gynoid is anything that resembles or pertains to the female human form. The term has more recently been applied to a humanoid robot designed to more accurately look like a human female with much more realism than normal androids, or of those with a sexual connotation.
I'll go with fembots from Austin Powers, cos honestly thats the first and only things that come to mind... (reserve right to change opinion in future)
Gynoid.

Same as Gynaecologist.

Same as Android.

Means android with vagina in this context.

Could also mean vagina object or female object or woman object, depending on how literally you take the root words and translate.

... anyway

The T-X - Terminatrix from Terminator 3 was pretty much unstoppable ... it took a nuke jammed inside her mouth to finally stop her.

You should probably get rid of that picture. The gentialia means that it counts as pornography, which is against the Code of Conduct.

The only gynoid I know of is Motoko Kusanagi from the host in the Shell series. If she counts, that is.

Probably go with the the M-66 units from the Black Magic M-66 oav. Might be too doll like in looks, but they have that unnerving, unwavering unstoppable air and a tendency to just keep going that really makes the oav a tense little thriller, even if it has just the M-66s in common with the original manga.

I'd probably go with any of the female-looking Replicators from Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis

Barring that, EDI from Mass Effect

I'm not sure exactly what of, but it's probably telling that the first thing I thought when I saw that was that it was from Inuyasha.

On topic: Nephtis from Zone of the Enders.

Angelina Jolie /satire.

Uhhhhh... I'm going to say the female-avatars that the replicators from Stargate use.

They eat planets and are not possible to fight on their own.

Yep, I had said that too. Think we need to extend the rules to allow full-replacement cyborgs.

Oh, just thought of an actual example, Terminatrix (T-X) from Terminator 3

"Best" is kind of a vague term? Best at what?
I'm going to assume that you mean "most likely to win a physical conflict"...and with the parameters you've
established....
Either Ifurita (El Hazard, OAV version)...if you believe that she can stop time, which I'm pretty convinced
she can from the opening/ending sequence to the series.
Or Android 9 from DBZ...who might actually be so fast that she could take Ifurita down before Ifurita was able
to trigger the effect that stops time.

But to me Nuku Nuku will always be the *best*, no matter what.

Emeralda Kasim, Xenogears.

Why? She's entirely made from nanotechnology and has access to both giant robots and ether-related skills, a number of which are quite devastating. This puts her even above Kos-mos in that her body is the equivalent of the Opiomorph Omnigear, which is also a nanomachine-supported devices that you would have to 'completely deconstruct it at the subatomic level' in order to defeat it. Same obviously goes for the nano-being that was suppose to outlive civilizations.
