Everyone has a "Best Worst Movie." You know, those movies that are so horrific, so horribly made, that you can't help but love them. Movies like Troll 2, The Room, Manos: The Hands of Fate, Robot Monster, and so on.

My point is: Are there any games like this? I was thinking Superman 64 and ET, but those are to obvious. What are your, "Best Worst Games"?

Drakengard. Its not really a BAD game, the gameplay is like a slightly more complicated and infinitely more frustrating version of Dynasty Warriors. However, the story is balls to the wall grimdark nonsense and the game has some mechanics that are so ridiculous that the only conclusion I can come to is that Cavia revels in the sufferings and laments of others. Its so much fun to riff on that its almost a shame its not at all fun to play.

Sadly, its sequel improved the gameplay and toned down the grimdark to the point that it goes from being lovingly bad to simply forgettable. At least they got their shit together to make Nier.

Probably the original Earth Defense Force.
A great many people I've interacted with have expressed distaste for Far Cry 2. I really, REALLY like that game, despite its obvious flaws.
I have a game on my steam called The Scourge Project: Episodes 1 and 2. It's not very good. It's actually pretty sucky. It's kind of like the poor(er) man's version of the original Gears of war. All it has going for it is the lighter color scheme and 1 or 2 visually interesting characters :[

Mercenaries 2. From an objective standpoint it's a pretty poorly made game. Bad design choices, crappy AI, and crappier plot. But it is still one of the most fun games I have ever played.

Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, terrible camera, absolutely horrid and rediculous story/voice acting, but somehow that game manages to be so damn fun, the Chao Garden was fun too even though it had very little going for it

Pokemon Snap. From an outside perspective, it's short, it's clunky, there's not all that much to do...

But damn it, I LOVE that game.

Deadly Premonition, it has absolutely shocking gameplay but the relation between the main character FBI Special Agent Francis York Morgan (please just call me York, that's what everyone calls me)and the rest of the cast, Zach (AKA the player) in particular, makes the entire game worth playing.

Replace Adventure 2 with Heroes for me, and remove the Chao Garden bits because I was never into that anyway.

Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing. Has the worst metacritic score ever (or at least it did when I last checked). The game was just really poorly made but the fact it had so many stupid flaws made it awesome. There was no sound, half the maps crashed the game, your opponent never left the starting line (so you never lose), there was no difference in friction between on road, off road, or inclines (yes you could drive up vertical hills), the in-game "exit to windows" took you back to the main menu, there was no limit on the rate of increase of acceleration when reversing (meaning you could reverse at the speed of light, then faster), you could drive through buildings and scenery (bridges were hilarious), it sometimes glitched when you started a race to instantly win since you were just *past* the finishing line, and when you do win it says in big bold letters "YOUR WINNER"

They released a patch to correct some of the games issues, all that was fixed was that the opponent actually "raced you". However, the opponent always stopped just short of the finishing line meaning that, still, you could never lose.

Oh and the game manages to take up at least 50% of your CPU regardless how good it is.

When I first played this I just couldn't stop laughing. I open it up every now and then just for a joke

+1 for Far Cry 2. For all it's flaws (respawning checkpoints, malaria and a story that completely goes AWOL untill the middle and then the end) I really enjoyed playing it.
