It's waaaayyyy to cold to ride at the moment here in Calgary so at the moment I don't ride anywhere. I don't know much about the technical side but I use one of the hybrid Street/Mountain bikes with the thinner tires.
Once it gets warmer though I intend to spend a goodly amount of time riding about the park that's a 10 minute ride from my place. It's a very big provincial one that sort of divides the southern portion of the city like an enormous rift.

Current bike (well, one of) when it was new, since then it's gained bigger brakes, chainguide/bashring, a proper seatpost, holzfeller stem after that one cracked and lots (and lots and lots) of dents. Mostly ride trail centres with this one, will be taking it to Wales and Coed-y-brenin in a couple of weeks.
Also have an xc bike, rigid s##gle sp##d, bmx and a road bike. All full of dents...

I used to go everywhere in a Kona Hahana, but as of late I haven't been using it much. But little (read: nothing) can supplant the exhilaration of riding a bike. Being able to look down and see how fast you really are going compared to looking forward is really awesome in comparison to just looking forward, like in cars.
I have an Ironhorse. I mostly ride it on back roads, since I don't exactly live near any mountains or nature trails.

as for the bike i own it's a Kona Sex Too and yes that is the name of the bike model, it's the banned bike as they were forced to change the name of the line after a couple years
