I recently watched the Bourne trilogy of movies (Identity, Supremacy, Ultimatum). I thought that they were excellent. It seemed like everything that happened contributed to the story, and you really have to watch for the little details. It can get fairly complicated IMO.

Anyway, I was wondering how the Escapists thought these movies were, and which one was your favourite. The order I like them in would be 3, 1, 2.

Also, if anybody has any questions about the plot, write that too and I might be able to help with it.

EDIT: Don't forget to put questions in spoiler tags so the story isn't ruined for anybody.

I suck, I've only seen the second one. I didn't understand much of what was going on, but what I did get I liked. I've been meaning to see the other ones.

Ya, I tried watching the third one without seeing the first two. I turned it off after 15 minutes because I didn't understand any of it. You really need to see them in order to get the full experience.

I've only seen the movies and loved them. And yeah I agree with the 3,1,2 order. I might read the books one day.

I liked the movies better than the books honestly. The books were messy and confused. The story in the movies made a lot more sense and was a tighter more efficent package.

I liked the them 1,3,2 in order of how I liked them. They are making a fourth one. I don't know how that will turn out but I suppose it could be good.

So they ARE making a fourth one...interesting.

Everyone seems to like 2 the least. I think it's because the first one had the most mystery, and I thought it was cool to see Bourne discover all his abilities. The third one had alot of action and tied everything together well (plus, I loved the ending, I actually had no idea which way it was gonna go). The second one didn't really have as much of either of those things, and it kinda landed in the middle (which I guess makes sense for the middle movie).

I've tried watching all them about 3 times, they could never keep my attention, they bored me to tears. Just not my cup of tea I guess, because I honestly couldn't tell you why I didn't enjoy them, I just didn't.

I would love to read the books because I love the movies like no other. I actually gotta go with 3,1 and then 2 as my order. I cannot wait for the 4th one! :D

I liked them. At first I didn't think Matt Damon could pull off the whole "Action Hero" thing but he did pretty good.

They don't have quite as much action or explosions as most movies in this genre, if that's what you like. I guess I'm just a sucker for a good story, which is what drew me in to these. I would literally pause every 5 minutes to try and make sense of everything that has happened. I can't stand it whe something happens and I don't know why or how.

Almost everyone is going with 3, 1, 2. I guess it's a pretty universal decision.

It's not really the lack of action that bores me. I just couldn't get interested in the story. I'm not very partial to the whole "Who am I?" kind of story. But I'm a big fan of story I'm not one of those meatheads that goes "Where are the explosions?"

Well, I love number 3 because it's so action packed. But I love number 1 for the story and the fact that he's exploring it all and trying to figure it out. The number 2 however I thought had great points to it and helped further the trilogy as a whole. It had some great actions scenes and such too and I get that he had to on a little 'adventure' so to speak to figure things out even more. I get that, but it just live up to the other two. There's nothing wrong with the second movie at all it's just not as epic per say. LOL.

I have to confess that I thought the same thing. It's not that Matt is a bad actor by any means its just I never saw him as the "Do not mess with me, I'm an assassin or a mercenary" type. It's not that he's not built to the frame, it's just it wasn't really his normal style of movies and it amped his career and such. But still. It just didn't seem like his type. Once I saw it, I was like "More Bourne movies now!"

That's pretty much exactly how I felt about them and why the order is like that lol. 2 is great, but just isn't as amazing as the other two.

That's good. Pretty much everybody I know just loves movies because there are big explosions, but couldn't care less about the story. They like movies like Transformers 2 lol.

I have to agree. I enjoyed the story a ton. I watch a tv show or a movie for the story. The action, special effects, direction, etc are only bonuses to me. If it doesn't have a good story, I get bored and start thinking of ways I could have improved it.

Average to me, very average. Including they seem to have almost exactly the same structure as each other and I think they even played that Moby song twice at the end of 1 and 2, can't remember exactly, been awhile.

It is interesting to have a hero that is perfect in almost every way and can get out of situations most of us would think are impossible. However, I didn't really find any of the characters that interesting and there wasn't anything special or original in the movies, but hey, take that as my opinion.
