Since its Halloween and everything is supposed to be spooky, I thought I would mention a game currently on sale on GoG called The Cat Lady. It's an Indie adventure game about a lonely woman who keeps herself in isolation for her own reasons and against her will is dragged into a pretty dark adventure. I should warn you this game features some pretty disturbing stuff but over all I loved it. Also its on $2.50. I don't want to do much to spoil the plot but here is a link to the GoG page, check out the trailer and if you like the look of it, give it a shot. Hey if anyone does try it, I'd be really curious to know what you think, I have a hard time getting my friends to try indie games:

Last time I looked it up I felt a lack of cats. You at least need 4 to be a cat lady.

I can't remember how many she has off hand, The Cat Lady is just what the people in her apartment block call her because she feeds all the strays and it pisses them off :)

While I haven't played it, I have seen the whole thing through a Lets Player.

*CONTAINS penuts SPOILERS!!!*

It is by Cry and it gave pretty a pretty good sample of the game.
Honestly it was damn good but I don't think I could play it.

So I simply watched his series, well worth it too.

I think it's worth buying, but it's also true that if you've watched someone play the whole thing, there isn't much point. Apart from that I just want to get people to play what I consider an under rated game :)

There might be only three if I remember correctly but
she gets them to kill this one guy and tear him up.

My 2 cents: I've played the game a few weeks ago. The game had some genuinely spooky moments and was fairly compelling overall, but if you can't deal with helping a woman through some fairly banal stuff once in a while you might want to turn away, because that's maybe 5-10% of the game, depending on your definition of "banal." Those parts aren't bad, and they're mostly integral to the game and story, just think it's a useful warning.

Also, there are puzzles, not sure if there are enough to make this an official puzzle game. They're not brain-dead and they're not brain-benders either, they're just right. Total run-time about 6-8 hours. It's not perfect, but it's definitely worth full-price.

I agree, that small 5-10% is kinda slow paced, but its all down to character building and considering how creepily odd and compelling the other 90 of % is, those slow bits help give context, the game would mean less without them. Still, good points and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I saw a video of the first bit of the game and it looked pretty compelling. That said, I have like (without hyperbole) 45+ games I'm trying to get through right now.
