The cause of a lot of suffering is the belief that you could learn something from others and that you should always be interested in what other people say.

It is the unbased assumtion that - no matter how absurd - statements of other people were somehow meaningful, and that you just weren't bright enough to understand the deep-seated knowledge some useless person blubbers. Scientists always claim, that you could learn from others, but when put to the test, they don't care at all about the opinions of others.

Following this lie disregards your own experiences and is gaslighting, designed to make manipulators like scientists grow a bigger ego especially when they have nothing to show for it.

What have you got against scientists?

Obviously, a lot of what people say is total rubbish, I don't hear many scientists saying otherwise. Biologists tend not to say people should listen to creationists, for one.

Scientists get the free out of jail card socially because science is said to be accurate and scientists are said to be accurate. Scientists invented the gene therapy that killed so many people, affecionately labeled "vaccine". Scientists invented thalidomide, scientists invented oxycontin next to ADHD and on the list goes.

It's greedy and self-righteous people who don't have the best for mankind at heart, they do P-hacking, finance studies, modify them, but the general dumb public still says:

Hey, scientists are great, einstein yeah

I would say that it was other scientists that found out the dangers of such thing, but you seem to be saying that ADHD is made up and that you're an anti-vaxxer. Why would explain your disdain for scientists.

This is a great example of what I wrote. Scientists created those and as scientists are always right, I must be wrong. This is a perfect example.
There's massive amounts of evidence for both the effectiveness of vaccines and that ADHD is a thing, and neither point has been disproved despite lots of people, for some reason, wanting to.

That also points to you being wrong.

You did not read a single one of them in detail and you disregarded evidence against it. As I wrote, perfect example.

World still flat in your botty world bot?
I was giving them the benefit of the doubt on being a bot, and they turn out to be an anti-vaxxer. Sigh.

I'm reminding of telling people not to pick on teenaged Justin Bieber, and then he turned into adult Justin Bieber.

Picking on people is never a good thing. But we have no business humoring an antivax cultist who thinks gravity only exists because the Jews control the media.

So I should ignore the consensus of millions of people across hundreds of years, and listen to you instead. Why?
Pfft, you have scientists and doctors and theories. I googled if crystals cure autism, and a nice man told me they do and sold me $500 worth. Clearly you're just a slave to science, while I am a clever minded person.

Secret knowledge makes me feel special. Who cares if it's wrong?

Always seemed a bit strange, there's plenty of real knowledge if you want to feel special, and lots of it is niche enough to almost be a secret. As opposed to anti-vaxxer stuff, which is very mainstream.

It needs to be "secret knowledge" that other people don't want you to know, but is also easily accessible without doing very much work because people are lazy. Real knowledge involves research and reading, but most people would rather spend their time watching a couple of youtube videos and tiktoks and then pretend they're special and know something that everyone else doesn't.

But there's lots of real knowledge you can get from youtube videos.

Did you know that in WW2, they could set up a loop of rope attached to a glider, so that a plane could fly low and grab it with a hook, and yoink the glider into the sky where there wasn't room for a proper takeoff and landing? Most people don't.

This video is 2 min long (the relevant bit is at the end).

Those gliders were also terrible, difficult to control, and routinely got their entire crews killed. But that knowledge is also completely irrelevant to anything happening in the present day, doesn't affect anyone, and doesn't give them any path toward action.

On the other hand I can make a youtube video about how any breakfast cereals that have blue dye in them are actually using government produced hormones that make children trans and I could probably get some people to start destroying fruity pebbles and boycotting Post cereals. It's current, it's relevant to modern political discourse, and it gives people something to do.
