The CD KEY will activate mw2 on the 10

Mw2 is through steam and it says its not out for another 2 days whereas i will be buying it in about an hours time what i want to know is Will it work?
I apologise for another mw2 thread but as one of the few people still getting this thing on pc i am wondering if i we are getting screwed over even more?

I'm not getting it via steam, I'm getting a boxed copy. According to this source [http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3176829] it's out in an hour. There have been lots of rumours around about it being pushed back to the 13th because of steam. To be honest, I don't think anyone really knows. I'll check when I go out to the UK release tonight (Half an hour.) and get back to you.

Apparently the PC version requires VAC for its anti-cheat. However, the boxed version of CoD4 for PC had two executables. Perhaps only one will be locked? I don't know if getting it boxed or through steam makes any difference. I wish I could help, but I'm just as confused as you.

i'm the same as you i'm getting the boxed copy in an hours time and i checked today in gamestop the pc version is definatly out at midnight. but its raining here and i'd kinda like to play it when i get in out from queuing in the rain.

just so you two know, the boxed version REQUIERES steam activation, so you cant get away with not using steam with the boxed version. just thought id say this in case either of you were getting the boxed version to avoid steam.

I just opened Steam and one of the news things was that it would be available on the 12th, but you can "pre-purchase" it now.
