The censorship of the Elin in Tera has become ridiculous at this point.

Maybe so. Words evolve, really.

More like self-censorship.
It's been commonly called "censorship". So I'm parroting other people's usage of the term.
Instead of parroting morons, why not parrot the dictionary definition...sorry, the actual meaning :p

Ah, I guess I was wrong about the law thing then. And I do agree that they should just stop with skimpy female armors in general. Take Cassandra from DA:I. She has proper armor, and looks badass as hell if you get a nice one. Far better than chain-kini's. And yes, it is hypocritical to put shorts on Elin, then turn around and sell bikini's for them on the cash shop.

I don't really care about TERA any more though. I played it for a while, being able to just barely look past the sexualization. But everything except the combat is bad in that game, so...yea... And even the combat is up for debate I guess. What surprises me more is how quick the 'outrage' for the game died down, with all the SJW's and feminazi's that started showing up not -that- long after it's release.

Has anyone ever been banned for modding the original outfits back in? I've modded Tera six ways from sunday and I haven't heard anything.

The way I see it, the game has to have a 'general audience' feel for marketing purposes-but you can put the original stuff back in yourself with 5 minutes of googling so it isn't all that bad.

Technically speaking these are not lolis as you put it, they're just a small race of creatures. That's like saying hobbits are loli, because they are small creatures therefore they must be children.
The word "loli" has been appropriated and reappropriated multiple times.

At first it was from the story Lolita, a story about a horrible, fictional pedophile.
Which was apparently picked up by Japan, where for some reason it was used for the word pedophile, instead of actually the word pedophile.

Since then, it's gone through all sorts of reappropations and changes in the West and Japan.
The Lolita fashion subculture where people dress in frilly children's dresses. It has little to do with the novel, or pedophilia.

At one point it meant an age, loli was a young girl, and a lolicon was a pedophile who liked young girls. Like a gender specific pedophile.

But after years and years, words evolve and change. The word "gay" used to mean happy.
At this point in time the word "loli" seems to describe a body type more than anything. It means someone who looks like a young girl, not necessarily someone who is a young girl. This is the mainstream definition in the English speaking world, at this point. And is arguably so in Japan, as well.

In fact, the definition of "loli" has become so broad at this point, I cannot even so much think of a single flat chested female anime character in all of anime, that isn't commonly referred to as a "loli". Even Black Rock Shooter has been called one. And she's pretty tall.

The Elin have the body of a young girl, even though they're characterized as being adults. So calling Elin lolis fits with the modern definition and usage of the word.

The Lalafell are also stated to be adult, and act that way. But I think most people familiar with the term would still call them lolis.

So, if I'm understanding this correctly, a company modified costumes for, presumably, PR reasons. Then, the same company releases skimpier costumes as paid product. This is somehow censorship.

If the above is correct, where do we go from here? Can a company make a decision to change its own content? Should internal company decisions be hashed out in public?

Their taking the lolis to Isenguard!

Assuming Isenguard is behind a paywall.
Damnit you owe me a soda buddy. Funniest thing I've read all day, maybe even week.

On topic; okay yeah that's kinda weird to say one thing and turn around and do something else that's close to that thing. I wonder who made the decision to market the clothes behind a paywall. The parent company or the office bringing it over?
