I don't know why but for some reason I can't stop listing to the first 30 seconds of there song wrong 'em boys (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UD1SzgamWLQ&feature=related). Is it just me or does this song rule?

Sorry, no poll. It went all weird when my browser crashed.

It sounds like he's singing while drunk off his ass. Certainly not worth the fourteen exclamation marks.

He has a strong English accent. I least, I think that's what it was.

This would be from 1979's London Calling, The Clash's third album and one the best albums of all time. It's so iconic of British punk (and rock in general) that you can find copies of it in just about any good record store. Hell, they sell vinyl records of it at my local supermarket. Joe Strummer was one of those founding voices of punk, and yes, he was a Brit. He might have had a few drinks, though.

Anyone who hasn't heard this whole album should do themselves a favor and look it up.

EDIT: http://www.amazon.com/London-Calling-Clash/dp/B00004BZ0N/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1255759361&sr=8-1

1. Click link
2. Buy it
3. Enjoy a life that is richer and fuller.

You're welcome.

No this is drunk off your ass. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzm2cNQQ6mE] Strummer is barely slurring.

OT: I've never really enjoyed the Clash that much. But it is a pretty good song.

Sorry, it just sounded like you stumbled on it browsing through YouTube, but clearly you have excellent taste. I agree, those first thirty seconds are pretty awesome. I wish they'd turned that opening into a full song.

Have you heard any of Joe Strummer's later solo work? The Mescaleros were pretty good, and he and Johnny Cash did a duet of Bob Marley's Redemption Song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGVSTsgcCvw

Shane MacGowan of The Pogues could get pretty plastered. Bringing it all around: They replaced him with Joe Strummer when he left the band due to his alcohol problem.
