Seth Mcfarlane is a fairly funny fellow who has made some good shows in the past, Family Guy.. really, and i enjoyed American Dad, i know most of you do not, but that is ok. Now Seth is back for a third show about Family Guy himself's good buddy Cleveland, and how he gets a new wife and step-children. May i be the first to say, What the fuck? why? this seems like a blatently plaigerized version of "The Bernie Mac Show", i think Seth is getting greedy now. What do you think?

It's a spin off, thats it (as far as I know) so it's just one episode not a full series, but it would be quite...boring as Cleveland is only a really good character with the rest of the guys round him all the time.

I think Seth lost his mind when Family guy was cancelled the first time and hasn't been good since.

Let's judge the show after we've, you know, seen it. There's no point saying it's going to suck, until it comes out.

I'm just curious as to how such a show would work.

I think Seth wants to prove that he can be funny without the silly Family Guy flashbacks. It looks pretty funny, but what isn't a money grab nowadays?

I go by the five episode rule for a new shows: That is I see five episodes of a new show and average them together to determine if I want to stay commited to watching the show.

The spin-off idea apparently came from Fox and he ran with it. They were in the market for a Family Guy spin-off, since they've paid the guy to work for them until at least 2012, so I guess they want to milk the apparent cash cow that he is. So I wouldn't say he's greedy, rather Fox is and he gets benefits from this. I mean, with King of the Hill and Sit Down and Shut Up done with it makes sense they'd go to a winner for a new animated series.

Before I read that I was going to say something along the lines of,

"Seth MacFarlane has had a really good idea for a show. I mean hell, this is the third version of it."

Okay, okay.

I think that Mcfarlane is getting greedy.
Heaven forbid he makes a new show

May be good, but I do think he is kind of milking the Family Guy style comedy a bit recently. It could work out, but it depends on how funny it is, and also whether or not it will just be another copy of Family Guy's humour.

It will probably suck and never catch on because cleveland is a side charector and cannot lead his own show. I also don't like the idea of him leaving family guy but I am happy to know that the show will fail I don't even care if it comes out I won't watch it. Hey FOX use all that money and time to put a good show on (thank you comedy central for picking up a new season of Futurama.)

Are you kidding? Family Guy was by and large rubbish before it got cancelled. Season 5 and 6 were definetly the best. Season 7 has kind of lost the plot though..
