We all know that in this industry there are a lot of stinkers out there. How did you contribute to those games' "success", dubious or not?

In other words, what shitty game did you buy, why did you buy it, and did you ultimately regret the purchase?

My contribution will be Turning Point: Fall of Liberty. Despite the reviews, I ended up getting it, a couple of years after its original release. Turns out I was surprised with a pretty solid shooter that gave me a few hours worth of fun.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of Iron Man. I know movie adaptations tend to suck (although Revenge of the Fallen is an awesome game), but I've always been a huge Iron Man fan. Well... the game's as bad as they said, and then some. The graphics were horrid, the gameplay is atrocious, and judging by it, being Iron Man is a chore.

Your contribution?

Alone in the dark because it looked good in the trailers, and I regret buying it as it was truely a buggy broken mess of a game

I tend to be very picky when choosing a game so usually I don't end-up disappointed.

I do make mistakes though; Gothic 3.
Personally, I thought The Witcher was pretty shitty too.

I've been there. Get the PS3 version, Inferno. It fixes literaly everything that was broken with the initial release.

Two Worlds. That will be the last time I ever let my brother chose any games he wants. He also bought the latest Soul Calibur which he played with once and then never touched it again. He told me he would like it and that it looked coom but all he ever did was judge it from the box art.

I bought Two Worlds a couple of years after it was released. I knew all the reviews said it was horrible, but it was summer, and I wanted to play something like Oblivion. I had hope.

I was foolish. I tossed the game aside and haven't played it since. I'm keeping it out of circulation to save others from my mistake.

Play Oblivion again instead.
