The show stars 3 quirky but attractive young men living in an apartment, but also running a successful restaurant, named Conzel's. The main characters are:
-Sony, the everyman of the show. He makes good, standard-quality food, like hamburgers and hotdogs. He often scolds the other two for their antics, and when one of them inevitably screws up, he turns to the camera and shoots us a look that says, "What did they think was going to happen?" It's often his reliable personality and standard cooking that saves the restaurant from bankruptcy.
-Microsoft is the slightly snobby, often aloof member of the crew. His food is usually more processed and overcooked, yet he fails to realize that this causes him to lose more customers. Often he'll buy a fancy new piece of merchandise, like a motion-activate drinks machine, only to have it blow up in his face (in this case, it broke and started flooding the whole restaurant until Sony unplugged it.) At the end of most episodes, he realizes his mistake, and Sony commends him for being a better person - until the next episode, where he does it all over again.
-Nintendo is a rather eccentric man from a foreign country. He provides the comic relief of the series, saying and doing things that highlight his cultural ignorance. He makes more eclectic foods, like veggie burgers or salads - despite the other two repeatedly pointing out that people don't come to a burger joint to eat veggies. He doesn't sell a lot, but still manages to pay his rent due to his surprisingly lucrative side business of small, handheld trinkets. (In one episode, Sony tries to figure out what makes his trinkets so popular, but gives up halfway through.)
The recurring antagonists are Peter and Cecil, who own a competing burger joint across the street. Their process is entirely mechanized, allowing them to make burgers faster and tailored to each customer's tastes. Although they are arguably making superior products, they still end up unlikeable due to their smug demeanor and pompous disposition. Microsoft often tries to emulate their process, but fails (including one hilarious episode where he bugs their house to try and learn their secret formula, only to hear them read off the ingredients label of a laundry detergent bottle.)
Some of the more notable parts of the show:
-A running joke involves Sony and Microsoft glaring at each other, locked in debate over a new design for some part of the restaurant, whereupon Nintendo walks into the room, holding up a new trinket he just devised. The trinket usually sells well; the new design never does.
-One episode involved P & C creating a viral marketing campaign where they claimed they could make anything Conzel's could, but better. Sony and Microsoft fail to disprove this, but eventually Nintendo points out that they can't make his trinkets. Thus stumped, Conzel's wins.
-Segu, an old friend of Nintendo's, shows up one day, broke. Nintendo lets him crash on their couch, but everyone soon grows tired of his constant annoyances, and he is forced to leave.
-One rather bizarre story arc involved a woman named Kazul showing up in town. The three vie for her attention, but Nintendo ends up bedding her, much to their surprise. They stay together for a few episodes, until a new character, Moe Bill, appears and steals her away. Nintendo swears he will get her back, and concocts elaborate schemes to win her away from Moe; he never succeeds.
-Another running joke involves a customer, noting that the menu hasn't changed in 10 years, asks the three when they'll get something new. Nintendo then appears, holding some new atrocity, like a Marshmallow Burger. After an awkward pause, the customer says, "I'll have the usual, please."
...Well, I'd watch it. Couldn't be worse than the Big Bang Theory.
Any opinions? Voice them, by all means.
