The Cool Armour Thread

Wherein we post pictures of our favourite sets of armour in gaming.

Here are a few of mine, to start things off:

First off, from World of Warcraft, some Warlock armour. Warlocks almost always get the coolest shit, which was especially true in tier 5.

This one's from Dragon Age Origins. I can't even really explain why I like it so much beyond it being black and cool and whatnot.

I also quite like these sets, from Fallout 3 and New Vegas respectively.

Yeah, I just really like black armour.

I also really like long coats.

I agree with both of these. Unfortunately, both of those games have far better armor that looks much lamer (though in Skyrim I'm willing to put looks above function).

Yeah, in Skyrim, stats aren't really that important, as long as I'm not crippled for using it.

In Dark Souls though, there are, like you said, much better armour combos than the Brass Set, and all of them look lame in comparison

PvP wise, you're putting yourself at a disadvantage by using it.

Ah yes, the nightingale armour is damn fine.

I especially like the cloak-type bit on the back. I like cloaks a lot, but the only cloak mod for skyrim I could find had to stick the bottom of the cloak to your feet, so the nightingale one is still better.

For the record, there's another mod you can get that lets you craft new versions of the unique armours and enchant them yourself.

I don't recall what it's called offhand, though.

I liked the armour in WH40k Space Marine, the single player Ultramarine armour looked pretty good (especially with the Iron Halo) though I'm more partial to kitting up as a Space Wolf online. Or a World Eater if I must be a dirty heretic.

Since I couldn't really find a decent pic of armour from Space Marine, here's good old Marneus "Washing machines live longer with" Calgar (in fairness, it's sort of still from a game, just not a video game).

Yes! The Tier 5 Warlock armor looked amazing on Undead. I mostly skipped Tier 5 in progression in favor of Frozen Shadoweave, but I did use Season 2 Armor and staff on my lock.

You can't get it as a player, but without a doubt The Lich King uses the most awesome armour I've seen.

I don't think so, the colours are way off, the belt is bigger, the mask is a different shape, and the chest is different

Oh and here's another, the Tengu Soldiers from Metal Gear Solid 2..
