I mean he was looking at tax fraud, and that's not something you just do own your own. You need enablers and co-conspirators. Not saying its a Epstein level high-up co-conspirator, but I wouldn't put it past whoever he was working with to slip some underpaid Spanish guards some extra cash to ice him and make it look like a suicide.

Tax fraud isn't hard when you're as wealthy as McAfee. You just employ a tax accountant who values money more than ethics to ensure your funds are in the right accounts and your tax form says the correct things. The IRS doesn't even try to go after large dollar amount fraud anymore (despite the significant return on investment it gives) because they've had their budget cut so severely; the tax enforcement agency literally can't afford to investigate and prosecute anyone but already poor people who can't hire high-powered attorneys to represent them in court.

I mean that tax accountant has a pretty compelling reason to keep McAfee from court. As would any business partner or family member whose wallet is about to get lighter. And the Feds were going after him, so either the money we're talking about is absurdly high, or they were hoping he'd flip state's evidence and someone needed that not to happen.

The Clinton/Trump kill team can even reach Spain
Weirdly he also said a lot of stuff about Epstein and more stuff going on there so it could be more connections to him really lol
weird how high-profile rich people who could incriminate other high-profile rich people keep committing suicide
yes so very weird.

Which is weird that they'd then go after McAfee

Great, now every rich fuck that dies in alleged unclear circumstances will be speculated as being Epstein'd.

Yeah, "weird" is a good word here:

Ok, but if there was ever a rich guy who would legitimately off himself in these circumstances, it’s the one known for constantly employing body doubles and doing enough drugs to kill a horse. Also, there’s no world where he would’ve revealed shit and given they wanted him on tax evasion it’s clear they actually wanted him in jail. That’s one of the US easy dunks on rich guys who they don’t wanna have to drag through a real trial, and there’s zero reason they’d do that if they thought he had any leverage at all.

Not really.

A substantial proportion of the mega-rich probably have quite unusual personalities, such as high narcissism. Going from a multimillionaire / billionaire to a jailbird is potentially a fall from grace and humiliation that they are psychologically incapable of coping with. And besides, when close or in old age with no realistic hope of seeing the outside world again, it's not like they're losing as much to look forward to.

This explanation is rather thin. It's still weird.

Also, it's hardly unknown for people who weren't rich and powerful to commit suicide in prison, they just tend not to make headlines.
