Standard misgivings aside, I can't imagine ANYONE would want to want to take on the main role. The best result from it has been getting away with severe injuries and that was from the short lived TV show.

Man, The Crow was such an awesome movie. This is gonna be a turd... A turd, I tell you!

Sometimes I like to wonder about how big of an action star Brandon Lee would've become if he hadn't died filming The Crow. It just seems like he was destined for greatness.

Also, I made my seventeen year old son watch The Crow a few months ago and he thought it was fantastic (of course he did). He seemed a little upset that I hadn't made him aware of it before. I did not make him aware of the sequels.

The Crow doesn't need a remake. It's not a perfect film, but it's not something that would be improved by doing it again with modern technology and actors/actresses either. It's a cult classic and it should just remain as such.
I am a tiny, little, teeny weeny, small smidgen, interested. The original Crow was not terribly close to the source material, so, this could be different enough to warrant it's existence BUT... BUT!!!

The film had a better narrative than the source material.

Joseph Campbell noted that a hero story arc is usually, rise, challenge, attempt to over-come challenge even if ultimately dying or failing. This happens to the movie Crow. I don't recall the comic book Crow ever facing a challenge. He just goes from bad guy to the next bad guy, killing them. Much less satisfying.
