I wonder if I can be a vampire werewolf hybrid finally. God help us if we can...

Captcha: Piggy back. dafuq?
Unfortunately the disease that causes either Vampirism or Lycantrophy add disease immunity on top of the perks associated with those transformations.

So, minus mods, glitches or console commands, I'd say it won't be any different then it is now.

But where are the werebears? :(

OT: Looks awesome, Dawnguard are going to need something pretty awesome to match floating-bat-like-creature-of-doom and make it worth siding with them

The Elder Scrolls actually a part of the game?! What monstrosity is this?
Seriously the actual elder scrolls really haven't been a part of the game since 1?
Edit: Didn't remember the brief appearance in Oblivion, and I've done none of the main quest in Skyrim.
Did not do any of "The Elder Scrolls - Skyrim"'s main story.
Has not encountered "The Elder Scrolls" within game.
Conclusion: The Elder Scrolls do not exist within game.

Seems legit.
Yes because they actually take a prominent role in Skyrim excuses the fart in the wind existence in Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Oblivion.
And I didn't do the main story because I didn't think anything could beat Oblivion's heart felt and enthralling main story of going to repetitious daedric portals.
It was also central to the Thieves Guild in Oblivion.

Looks great. I may be behind the times but I thought this DLC was going to be about the return of the Snow Elves or something.
Return of the snow elves from where? From what I understand, <spoiler=minor lore spoiler>the snow elves are what is now the falmor that live underground
The 1.5 update added a lot of code and script references to things that weren't yet in the game. They were all prefaced with "DLC" or "DLC1" and included things for new vampire abilities/animations, the animations and scripts for Crossbows, some references to controlling the sun, and references with animations to "Snow Elves" and in particular a "Snow Elf Prince". They weren't in any usable form, but they were there.

As for the dragon going under water; probably because it feels that is the only place it can be safe from the Dragonborn. But it doesn't know that unless that person is using Frostfall, it is still screwed.

Oh wow, 1600 ms points. Here's hoping its HUGE for that price although I would definitely buy it anyways because I'm a loyal bethesda drone. (not kidding, I am.)

"The next day, he did return with more questions, these ones very specific. He wanted to know about the vampires of eastern Skyrim. I told him about the most powerful tribe, the Volkihar, paranoid and cruel, whose very breath could freeze their victims' blood in the veins. I explained to him how they lived beneath the ice of remote and haunted lakes, never venturing into the world of men except to feed.

Movarth Piquine listened carefully, and asked more questions into the night, until at last he was ready to leave.

"I will not see you for a few days," he said. "But I will return, and tell you how helpful your information has been."

True to his word, the man returned to my chapel shortly after midnight four days later. There was a fresh scar on his cheek, but he was smiling that grim but satisfied smile of his.

"Your advice helped me very much," he said. "But you should know that the Volkihar have an additional ability you didn't mention. They can reach through the ice of their lakes without breaking it. It was quite a nasty surprise, being grabbed from below without any warning.""

-Excerpt from "Immortal Blood", in-game book by "anonymous".

We need this. Unfortunately, it looked like we aren't getting this, but if we're in Skyrim, and there're dragons busting through the ice, and the entire DLC is focused on vampires... we need to see the Volkihar. How amazing would it be to have one pull you under the ice, and have to escape? And it's criminal for Bethesda to tantalize us with such awesome things and then not actually include them in the game (see also: Werebears).

Man I need to finish the main quest Skyrim for this DLC. I always like to play DLC as if my main hero has retired from adventuring and is pulled back in for one more world saving quest!

Gawww, no spears in the trailer? Blasphemy.

Also, hopefully these new factions and the actions you take within them actually matter this time. The rest of Skyrim's faction quest lines were.. lackluster.

I mean, there's nothing wrong with having non-conflicting quest lines like Oblivion did, but Skyrim literally had no pacing in their quest lines what so ever. You could take missions that were basically, "go to point X, do Y, come back for a standardized reward", but they didn't add anything to the game, or even seem to affect anything other than your coin-purse.

You kind of showed up at their door, and instantly went to solving their major problems, followed by fixing their innermost dark, and problematic secrets.

Here's hoping to the pacing being good.

SWEET. The vanilla vampires suck, I've been waiting for something like this. This is the kind of character I always imagined I'd be.

Vampires are in right now, right? Yeah, totally. Make a vampire DLC.

Hey, I'm not complaining one bit. I will relish every moment I get to stake those motherfucking "children of the night" with a crossbow bolt to the FACE!!!

Dawnguard here I come! :D

Shit....my main dude is already a werewolf but that new vampire form look sweet!

On the other hand I'm pretty sure I've lost all my Skyrim saves(too scared to actually check) so I may end up having to make a new guy and just console command my stats up to where they were before.

Yeah it's probably cheating but fuck off, I'm not putting another 80-90 hours on a single guy just to get back to where I was!

During the part were the PC is aiming his bow at the guard is that a staff or a...Spear? I ask because the guard didn't look like a mage with his armor.

Does anyone else think were going to High Rock for this? The castle looked a bit French and I think the Bretons were based on the French (more specifically brittany). Also there is a lot of snow and ice in so they should be in one of the northern provinces. Can't be Skyrim or Morrowind so the only place left is high rock. Also there were falmer there. you can only find falmer in dwemer ruins which only exist in high rock, Skyrim Hammerfel and Morrowind.
It's a big rock. I can't wait to tell my friends. They don't have a rock this big.
