I saw something similar to this today, but it is a bit off* from what I want and I can't seem to find it again... so...

If you could sit down with 4 people**, living or dead, and have 1 evening to sit and chat with them over dinner, who would it be? Historical people like George Washington? Famous current figures like Will Smith? A dead or long lost relative/friend? They could even be the people you see every day at your regular dinner table as well.

*must be real people
**you can understand their foreign languages from English to Chinese

Mine would be Hitler (why he did what he did), Obama(obvious reasons), Stanley Kubrick(very inspiring and great director), and Teller (Penn & Teller) (I think that those two are hilarious).

Now your turn, you don't have to say why if you don't want to, but it is preferred.

I don't think I could. I think I'd faint.

Social anxiety aside, Barak Obama, Masaharu Morimoto, Dave Barry, and Robert Jordan. Obama because I respect him and am interested in his policies, Morimoto because I'd like some tips (I'm assuming I'm cooking), Dave Barry because he's hilarious, and Robert Jordan because I'm really sad that he's dead.

Let's see...

Charlie Chaplin - Apart from being one of the greatest comedians to ever live, he was quite brilliant, and had some really radical ideas for his time. I'd enjoy a chat with him.

Samuel Clemmens/Mark Twain - Similar to Chaplin. He's brilliant, and I'd love to hear his take on modern events. Also, I really want to see him and Charlie get in a fistfight.

Bernie Mac - One of my favorite comedians, taken way before his time. It'd be fun to have a meal with him.

Harland "Colonel" Sanders - Dude can cook a mean chicken.

Eww, Shakespeare, putting shakespeare with Socialists sounds like it could be trouble as well. Never heard of Mrs Poe, whos that?
Edgar Allan Poe was an author and poet. He is most renown for writing The Raven.

As well as many other famous horror stories. They were more a horror for their times, mostly because a talking Raven that says the same thing over and over doesn't hold it's own in our current era as much as a man in a hockey mask with a machete, or other infamous horror film stars. I still like him though, his stories hold a sort of morbid sense to them...

As for the topic at hand, I really don't know who I'd want to have dinner with. Probably a Cher, and a couple od comedians for a funny good time, or the cast of Stargate SG-1 (Rich Anderson, Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks, and Christopher Judge), just because they are hilarious off screen!

Mohandas Gandhi: I greatly respect him and his philosophies. I'd imagine he would be a very interesting person to talk to.

Joseph Campbell: He was just brilliant. I'd love to get to talk to him and learn about some of his ideas. Especially with Gandhi at the table.

My best friend Christina, since she'd have something to contribute to this all and get a kick out of it, I'm sure. And I just love being around her anyways.

The current (14th) Dalai Llama. He seems like, from what I know, a nice guy, and between him, Gandhi, Campbell, and Christina I'd have a heavily philosophical dinner on my hands. Just like I like my dinners.

The Telltale Heart is a pretty good morbid story. Rudyard Kipling and H.P. Lovecraft are also excellent writers.

H.P. Lovecraft, Ken Levine, Oscar Schindler, aaaaand... maybe John Cleese. The list is tentative, but if a gun was held to my head unless I named four people to eat with, I'd probably pick these four.

Runner ups for me are Ayn Rand (discuss politics), Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison (food fight!), Robin Williams (hilarious standup comedian), Kojima (a great writer/creator), and Jesus (what he thinks of today and where we are).
