I just came back from the supermarket with my life a bit sadder as before.
You see, my favourite noodles, crab flavoured, has been replaced with a new brand.
To be honest, they have more flavours and are cheaper, but they don't have crab flavour.

This is, of course, by no means a huge problem, but still it made me disappointed.
So, what about you fellow escapists?
Ever had a favourite product ripped from the store?
A favourite beer brand not being served in your favourite bar any more?
A game service abandoned.

Same happened here. I'm also sad about what happened to all of the stores that got absorbed by Gamestop. Like Funcoland and EB Games. I mean for fuck's sake, they used to have more competitive pricing, and each store felt distinct. Now it's just the starbucks of video games, with too little competition to matter. I can only think of one other store that close to its size and overall product, and that's Mega Media Xchange, which only has a handful of stores.

Those S'mores candy bars Hershey used to make. If I were the Cinema Snob, they would be my Crystal Pepsi.

When Games Workshop stopped the Juan Diaz 3rd ed Daemonettes to make way for the newer, shittier ones.

I've managed to collect about 60 since they went OOP. I'll never switch. NEVER.

Steak & Onion chips. Went away before I turned twelve. I'm twenty-four now and nothing like them has ever been made again.

Years ago Pepsi made a soft drink called Slice (the forerunner of Sierra Mist). When I was a kid they briefly had an apple-flavored version, which they discontinued because apparently nobody liked it but me. :(

I still long for a day when they bring back Lemon Ice Kool Aid. There were other ice flavors too, but none as good as Lemon Ice.

Well, there was this blue Fanta I just adored. I don't even remember what taste it was. It had a blue bottle and whiteish colour.

Also McDonald's had a burger, Chicken Italiano, sth like this. Best thing I ate in McD. Never seen again.

Also KFC had Mexican Longer, spicy and with different sauce. Never seen again.

//yeah, I like bad food, you noticed?

Of course inb4 Battlefront 2/Firefly (totally would agree).

[yeah_still_butthurt]The worst discontinued thing? When you play ME3, and then there's

3D Doritos as well as 3rd Degree Burn Doritos. Supposedly the 3rd Degree still exists but I haven't found any around where I live, but sadly 3D Doritos are gone gone :(

Also, not really a discontinued item in the truest sense I suppose, but my favorite Mexican restaurant stopped selling shrimp quesadillas even though they still have shrimp dishes. Now I either have to pay more to get a shrimp quesadilla or settle for something else that is still delicious but not quite as delicious as my beloved shrimp quesadilla

Beer battered, bacon wrapped king prawns.

Yeah.

To be fair, it's not that they're not being sold, just have to wait till I go back out to America to get some from my favourite restaurant there.

Shock Tarts. I know they were remade by Wonka under the name Shockers, but they don't sell them in my state, and if they do it's always some out-of-the-way gas station that only ever has one case of them in stock. They aren't quite fallen in obscurity, but they are actually quite rare in PA from what I've seen, especially in my hometown

Mr. Noodles Beef Flavored Kimchee Bowls... I loved those things...

Other than that, Wendy's Boneless Chicken Wings... their Buffalo Flavor was amazingly tasty.

Oh boy, Oreo cereal. That in the morning was a bounty to behold.

Sadly i'm pretty sure it was just Oreos shoved in the box, so somewhere it got cut likely on that premise.
But boy oh boy, do I still miss that stuff.

Salad dressing. Fucking salad dressing!

Seriously, do you know how hard it is to find a good caesar vinegrette in Canada? In the 90s Kraft had Golden Caesar, which was a perfect dressing for both tossed salads and a base for our homemade caesar dressing. Absolute perfection! Not too strong, but it had a fair zap to it. Then in the early 2000s or so it went off the market and was replaced with Caesar Vinegrette. A bit stronger, but still good. But then years later it too went off the market and to this day has yet to be replaced on their line of dressings. Wtf? So I went to Walmart and they had a caesar vinegrette with bacon. For the next few years we kept using it, even though it was too strong for some people and was harder to get a good balance with our own dressing. But then of course as of a few months ago it seems to have gone off the market.

To this day I've been bouncing between caesar dressings and I have yet to find one to use as a base. I'm currently using one that seems kinda half vinegrette and half creamy, but it's just not the same. I'm THIS close to moving to Creamy Caesar.
