The original sour bubble tape. Oh god, it was like an endless stream of sour candy THAT WAS ALSO GUM. Also it was VERY sour. My mouth waters just thinking about its glorious flavor. Also reminds me that either my taste buds are dead or that they don't make sour candy like they used to.
Yamaha XG MIDI. Its still around as a standard, but you going to have a hell of a time finding a new XG sound module with all the sounds and reverb/chorus settings. Not to mention the best Software Synth the S-YXG50 which was discontinued in 2001 doesn't work on modern systems unless as VSTi.
Just minor things really, but that S-YXG50 was something special, I wish they still made it and updated it. It was featured in the PC version of FF7 for the music. Gave it a more orchestral feel, were as the Playstation Soundtrack had a more gritty tone.
