The Dreaded Friend card

So yesterday I attended this girls party, got pretty drunk and asked her if she would ever go out with me and she said she wouldn't want to ruin our friendship. Which I find to be absolutely bollocks. So I'm planning on asking her out on Tuesday anyway either to kill the friendship on purpose or to hopefully get past the friend card. My question is should I? Is a chance at a relationship with her really worth destroying our (good) friendship? and does living with the fact you could never go out with a person while still remaining best friends ever get easier? What do I do.

It isnt easy, but you'll just have to deal with it. I get friend zoned all the time, I stupidly said yes to one of my friends of 8 years and 5 months later the relationship blew up, along with 8 years of friendship.

I say try and ask her out, as I've done the "not ask out a friend whom I have a crush on" thing, and it sucks. Hard

That isn't true. One of my closest friends is one of my Ex's. And the third girl I asked out (Whom also turned me down) we've actually become closer than we were originally.

So in short, do it. What's the worst that could happen?

Actually I wouldn't say i asked her out (memory's a bit fuzzy), it just kind of came up in conversation I think that she wouldn't go out with me because she was afraid it would ruin the relationship. Pretty sure she said it without prompting which means at least she was thinking about it.

First off: No such thing as a friend zone. It's the back-up zone.

Second: Just consider her a work in progress. Flirt with her like you would any other girl you want to be with. Sooner or later it will either pay off or you will have found 3-4 other girls.
