Hey movie buffs!
So it's no great secret that we are living in a digital age. If you want to watch a movie, you don't even have to leave your house; just download it (maybe even pay for it) and watch. However, I still buy DVDs, not only because on occasion I found one I liked enough to throw a few bucks the studio's way, but also to play a little game I came up with for myself. You know that feeling you get when you watch a movie and you go "HOLY SHIT! [Actor] is in this movie?!" Well, I made a game around that feeling. I suppose I could do this with digital movies, but personally I find it easier to have something I can lay hands on. At any rate, the rules of the DVD game go as follows:
~~~
THE DVD GAME
EASY MODO
Line up your movies in a "chain", with each "link" being an actor or actress that the two linked movies have in common.
NORMAL MODO
You can't use the same actor or actress twice in a row.
HARD MODO
Ever.
~~~
So far, my longest unbroken chain is 11 movies. On hard mode, which is tricky given all the Johnny Depp movies I have. This is one of the reasons I'm kinda glad that Tim Burton movies tend to have the same central group of actors in them, and also why I tend to look for movies that have a bunch of repeating actors, such as Fight Club (Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Helena Bonham Carter).
So! Take stock, line 'em up, and tell me what your longest chain is!
