It would be cool if they made a fear system. For example if you killed five out of six bandits the last one would run away.
That's what we alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll want.shufflemonkey16 said:Basically, I want the good from Morrowind (RIDICULOUSLY rich and deep story that was relevant to, and taught you about the entire culture and history of Morrowind. Very diverse landscapes and architecture, enemies and shop merchandise not leveling with you) mixed with the good from Oblivion (graphics, draw distance, indefinite running, magic system). Also the Melee combat needs to be seriously revamped so that it's a lot more immersive and interesting. Better voice acting and more actors is great too.
On my latest playthrough of Oblivion I haven't been using fast travel at all, I actually find it to be a more enjoyable experience than just fast travelling everywhere and the only time it causes me trouble is when my bags are full but if they put some kind of saddlebags on horses I think that could be easily sorted out.mjhhiv said:Anyways, in response to Exterminatus - I honestly wouldn't buy Oblivion if they did away with fast traveling all together, because they'd either have to make the world way smaller, or just leave it as is, thus making it nearly impossible to get around the world.
It's obviously a potshot at Fallout 3. "Oblivion with guns", remember?Frag Leaf said:
Maybe he's really bitter about it or something.Frag Leaf said:But why would anyone bother bringing that up?Skoldpadda said:It's obviously a potshot at Fallout 3. "Oblivion with guns", remember?Frag Leaf said:
It is a game of it's own. It is called Mount & Blade XDIndieRocker said:That sounds good enough to be a game on its owngeorge.hughes said:I enjoyed oblivion but all the single playering got old, it was best when you were leading a squad against large numbers of enemies, eg: Kvatch etc
Oblivion NEEDS WARS! imagine a huge siege on a fortress with 30+ units on each side (+ limited spawning) where you can attack it or defend it eg: by operating a catapult to damage the structure (scenery destruction) before ordering a charge into the breach or getting a bow and firing through arrow slits to whittle away the attackers or pouring boiling oil down onto the enemy and depending on who wins each war the storyline branches off differently. I know that so many units would take a lot of processing power but it would be worth it, imagine leading an army to reclaim the collapsing province of Tamriel, IT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!
I know it's an oldish post for you, but just last night I shanked a guard with my compounding damage dagger of death, and he died before he could scream "Assault!" (I'm level 28 BTW, so this was no easy feat). I still got the 40 gold bounty for the assault and the 1000 for the murder. There was no one else to see the crime, so I don't know how I got the bounty. Well, I do, but it's bullshit. They should fix that.[Gavo said:]
One more thing, make assassinating people worth it, for example, if someone's sleeping and you shank them in the back in sneak mode, they should die, right? Well in Oblivion, they wake up, run out of the house screaming "GUARD! I'M UNDER ASSAULT!" like a ***** on fire. Then you die.
