Mabye a non linear storyline too, but that would be hard to do in a good way. As in not a if youre good you get this end, bad you say? This one then. Something that involves a real cause and effect, and other events out of the players control, as in NPC;S THAT DON'T JUST STAND AROUND SAYING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER. Ones that actually change the game independent of the player. And multiplayer would be cool, but at the same time kinda iffy. If you have a friend whos much stronger than the rest of your group and decides to go aroung murdering, what happens to the player who got killed? it wouldnt be cool if they rezzed, and how would reloading work? Good idea, much harder to use than I think they can do in any reasonable time.

At least give us the option of doing the bad thing. Oblivion was all about being a goody two shoes which really grew thin on me. The assassin missions made you feel as if you were either killing someone bad, or just killing nameless joe. They didn't feel evil at all. Being a vampire was nothing. Sucking people dry and they still live?!
I really hate to drag Fallout 3 into this, but that is the exact reason why I don't want Bethesda making a Fallout game.

Anyways, in response to Exterminatus - I honestly wouldn't buy Oblivion if they did away with fast traveling all together, because they'd either have to make the world way smaller, or just leave it as is, thus making it nearly impossible to get around the world.
I have watched the X-play hands on preview a hell of a lot and you will be able to make moral choices. So pretty much you will be able to be a bad guy. On this sight they have Todd talking about how there will be over 500 endings in the game. The game is approximately 100 hours long. That's about 50,000 hours of gameplay! So just because Bethesda made Oblivion doesn't mean Fallout will be Oblivion with a post apocalyptic twist.

Just to throw this in here mere means girl horse and it's pronounced mayor.

Well, the smart thing would be a fast travel system that allows you to travel from anywere, but you have to have travelled to your destination at least once before.

Also, I want a good vampire with the ability to embrace selected individuals (a cap would be needed, so that it doesnt get too rediculous), maybe I could create a guild with its own guild meeting spot. Maybe I could even create my own guild in the next Elder Scrolls?

Also, if your going to have a story that tries to include epic battles and citys of wonder... Have the curtain match the drapes! I dont know about anyone else, but when defending Bravil from the main portal, the mighty army of the Emporer was only a small band of around ten people. Please, avoid that sort of thing.

Make it so that combat is overall more involving and accurate. Maybe when fighting, I could kick a goblin onto a spike or do other interactive movement? Maybe a spell could alter my environment, so on a narrow ledge undead would slip to their deaths from a thin sheet of ice. Oh, and ranged weapons could be more diverse.

Diverse monsters, a dungeon basically came down to this: either bandits, undead, or animals. Where is the uniqueness in that? Say, where are the unique dungeons that arnt quest related? Maybe I could come across some sort of abondoned city in a cavern? Maybe a sort of friendly elven glade in a desert? Soemthing unique, please!

Get rid of the illusion of choice. Most quests required me to finish it by going "do a, then travel to b, collect fame and gold". Why coudldnt I decide to simply take the treasure for myself and have the quest complete? Also, I want these quests to effect my later adventures, like offering myself as a knight could lead to jail as a survivor of my latest massacre steps forward to accuse me? More of that, please.

The one thing the next Elder Scrolls needs, more than anything else, is a level cap. Playing the game, you could reach a very powerful height indeed. But, if you use magic, then your basically untouchable. Whats with the 100% chameliean? Make it so that your character can still be challanged as you play.

Random events are a good way to entertain people, as they are unsuspected and random. But dont force people, it could turn on you. So, maybe you could help someone who is being threatened by thugs or join a militia to kill a local monster? Maybe the daily tasks of NPC's could be more varied, as I have never seen a farmer farming.

Intelligent A.I., particularly enemies. How about that when I enter a room, every enemy could not focus on me? It seems strange that a bandit and tiger would work like such a team to kill old me, and speaking of age...

Maybe time could progress in game? Maybe it could be like Fable, but have it as a option that could be disabled. Or, another handy feature of Fable 2...

The ability to start a family. It seems to me that a selling point for Fable 2 is that I can start a family, and they can be killed by your enemies (or even yourself). How immersive would that be, to come home and find your nemesis has just butchered your love and child? How would you react? What if, instead you werent just fighting for yourself, what if... you were pregnant? To me, this seems like I'm not just fighting for myself, but for some piece of code that proceeds to draw me into the world even more.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my rant. I hope that I havnt just repeated earlier thoughts and tips.

That's the way it works in Oblivion. They were hoping that would make you walk or ride your horse occasionaly. Did you even play the game?

That was probably to avoid getting in trouble for having child killing in the game. I think that's why you weren't allowed to have weapons in Bowerstone in Fable.

Yes actually, but I was talking specifically of towns. It seems wierd that I can fast travel from a sunny location to the snowy area that is Bravil. I should have mentioned that, but hey I was expecting people to realise that.

Maybe a bit of gameplay that makes you feel more real when sneaking around, like espionage, or the ability to drive any NPC literally insane by talking to them. If youre the MADgod in SI, why aren't you toatally off your rocker, except not only that, but youre also eating babies and then using their dismembered bodies as clubs?

Or as sheogorath mentioned, ingredients for brain pie?

And thinking of dismemberment,I know there was the deadly reflex mod, but cmon Xbox lost so much to PC cuz of no player mods.

Did you just create your account to say that?

If you don't know where a town is and there's no marker on the map it's a little difficult to find them.

As i remember a friend of mine did make a mod that had a club called baby beater in it that when it hit an NPC literally turned them into a baby. Then lunched them very, very far. I was entertained.

And i love the glitch with fingers of the mountain quest and a horse, the horse gets launched SO FAR. And for toe blighter, about half of my fun in oblivion was to see how much i could screw the world up, such as amassing a pile of cloned gaurd bodies in the middle of a town then watching people carry on with their lives simply glancing at the pile, or gaurds that go nuts going, "this bodies still warm theirs a murder on the loose" about 50 times, then forgetting that they already checked the first body and so repeat the process. That is funny to me.

Thats what a map is for, but I mean that you cant immediately auto travel to another city. Whatever, its just my opinion so you dont need to throw accusations of me not playing the game before. =P

I wanna see some of the things from morrowind brought back.

1. Werewolves as a selectable possible along with vampires

2. More weapons such as spears, throwing knives, etc. Morrowind had many of these that were taken out in oblivion.

3. A customizable weapon and armor system. In Oblivion they had some degree of custimization but in TES 5 i'd like to see customizable weapons and armor.

4. A bigger world to explore without the monotony of the same dungeon over and over again. Raiding dungeons for money was good but change it up a little

what about actual smithing for you third idea? make a mold, make a weapon. and if anyones seen the deadric chainsaw mod, it might be cool to have an effect on a wapon that slows your magicka regen, or causes outright degen. like an animation type effect that constantly drains magic?

Also along the line of werewolves and vampires, why not a sandbox mode that lets you play as a monster of some sort and have no reprecussions for crime. everyone already hates you. and also what if rival guild members got into fights on the streets. or the ocasional non player caused murder?

And i HATED the fact that no matter how big it was, throwing something at an enemy from something other than a bow never hurt them. You'd figure a sword huled hundreds of feet down onto an unarmored bandit (i used the command removeallitems) would indeed atleast hurt them. then i tried it with a horse's body. no effect at all.
