It will be worth it just to play Daggerfall again. Driving a cart through a dungeon and killing everything inside.

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez, that's pretty cool.

I can't run Skyrim on my PC though, already have Morrowind and Oblivion is just....not even worth modding to me.
Would be nice to have the old ones though.

The old ones are free to play!

It's more of a collectors thing to be fair. If you wait for the optimum point during a steam sale you can get all the others for way cheaper than that. I'm just looking at the prices on Steam right now though, tell you what, they should be lower; the less recent games I mean. For instance Morrowind is £9.74 reduced from £12.99. Come on guys, that's a decade old game whose successors have been incredibly profitable. That could be £2-£3, easy.

I think it's a fair price they're asking, considering this strikes me as primarily a collector's item. I'm a little tempted, considering I only have Morrowind for PC, but I still can't really justify spending eighty bucks on three games I already own, two games I could get free and some artwork. Sounds great for people who are bigger Elder Scrolls fans than me, though. Oblivion is my favourite game of all time, yet the rest of the games I've played in the series just don't click with me. Maybe it's simply difficult to measure up with the near-perfection I consider IV to be.

Wait is Arena free too? I knew Daggerfall was, though I could never get it to run on DOS Box for anything. I guess I was (foolishly) assuming this CE would have versions of the older ones that would work on modern systems.

Yah, there's a link in the source: http://www.elderscrolls.com/arena/

No idea on the compatibility of it though. I've never tried playing either game. Probably should, cause y'know, Elder Scrolls and all.

[small]Still not gonna buy TESO[/small]

Good deal IMO. I hope there will be a no-DRM version for PC but if not I probably just wont buy it (since I own Morrowind and skyrim already on PC). For consoles this is just great because they can play all the games on the current (and presumably next) generation consoles.

I dont see anything wrong with it, in fact I wish some companies would release mega-bundles like this more often. I would love to see a breath of fire bundle or a Dynasty warriors bundle. Also on another note, if Hitman and Metal gear can release these kinds of bundles why cant Bethesda release a TES bundle?

Well, it's nice and convenient for new players in the franchise, or players who are interested in it, to get all the games in one purchase. For someone such as myself, who already owns the games on disc, it isn't too useful though.

I'm hoping that this will be on consoles as well but who am I kidding? Is my filthy scrub console mind just dreaming?

They have missed Battlespire and Redguard out of the collection, I wonder why that is? I can't think of reason myself.

Will Arena and Daggerfall be revamped so I don't have to run them through DOSbox? Can I now move using WASD instead of the arrow keys?

Is there any remastering happening at all?

Can I get some more information on dem maps? 'Cause I could see myself dropping $80 just for the maps... [sub]and Morrowind too I guess[/sub]

It's the core games. Battlespire and Redguard are spinoffs.

If this means I can play Arena and Daggerfall without having to jump through all sorts of technical hoops to get it to run properly, then I'm in. I'm willing to shell out some cash for the sake of convenience.

Now I just have to save up for a computer that can run Skyrim. I feel left out with my 360 version, what with all the awesome mods that the community has made for the PC version.

My guesses are as follows:

*They're spinoffs, thus they aren't part of the "main" Elder Scrolls story.

*They weren't very successful critically or commercially.

*Based on what I've heard, they can be a real ***** to run on modern operating systems.

It's kind of a cool idea, but I think I'd be more temped if this was released on home console, given that I already own all of these on disc as is.

They both run under dosbox just like Arena and Daggerfall.

Now searching my memory I think that Battlespire had the appearance of your character on the inventory screen as fully nude when you removed all the items of clothing. I think it also had magic underwear that could do things like shoot fireballs. Battlespire doesn't really fit with rest of series in that respect.

captcha: play it again

Ah, good to know. I haven't played either game, so my knowledge of them is pretty scant.

I do remember watching a bit of a Let's Play someone did of Battlespire. The guy forgot about the nudity, and his reaction to it was quite amusing.

It is kind of surprising if that's the reasoning though, considering Daggerfall contained nudity as well. It also has the infamous original version of the book The Real Barenziah. I wonder if Bethesda is going to censor those elements for this release.

That's pretty sick excellent! My laptop couldn't likely run oblivion, nevermind Skyrim too well, but the older ones? Maybe! I'm definitely telling my friends about this.

I love the lore of the ES series.
