They have a DAoC guy at the head of the project, so that's promising.
However, it'll be on Hero Engine, so I guess we'll be experiencing the same old autoattack and hotkey combat system, rather than TES' quite more enjoyable actiony combat.

I mean, I don't want to jump to conclusions or anything, but pretty much this is the end of the Elder Scrolls series for me. I'll be starting auditions for a new sci-fi/fantasy singleplayer RPG universe shortly. COS THIS ONE IS DEAD TO ME.
So, that's the end of the Elder Scrolls? Well, at least it went out with a bang, with Skyrim being a resounding success. Ok, maybe I'm exagerrating a bit, but I just don't see a new "proper" Elder Scrolls being made while they have an MMO rolling around. Kinda like how we're not going to see a new Warcraft game while WoW lives. Also, I'm pretty sure that a that the ES MMO will manage to miss all the stuff that made ES great in the first place, so poopy...
I kinda have mixed feelings about this. While an MMO set in one of my favourite game worlds would be lovely, I can't help but wonder whether it's really going to be all that different to World of Warcraft. Unless it has something special about it (other than being set in tamriel) I probably won't buy it.
That's a relief. If it had meant that there weren't going to be any more ES single player games then I probably wouldn't have bought it out of principle.rolfwesselius said:

I thought that might be the case. But no, that changes little. Call me entitled, petulant and/or childish if you wish, I don't want any of this multiplayer nonsense. The moment you let all those gross, disgusting, smelly 'other people' into my Elder Scrolls universe, you have ruined it. Pretty much permanently. I don't know how it could recover.
