I've got the "under 13" flag problem as well. Lots of issues with this survey, it seems...

EDIT: It's letting me past now. Never mind.

This year, we have even included a section for you to let us know what you think about us. Please keep your adoration and gushing to a minimum. We blush easily.[/B]

HA! How about better surveys. Don't worry I'll try to keep the adoration and gushing to a minimum ;)

wow what a buggy survey. loops back to the start, at the start when you enter your birth year and click the yes you are 13 or older it decides that means you need parent permission. do you do **** with yes and no answers if you hit no it asks what or how many times you do it the next page.

bad surveymonkey no bannana for you!

You know, The Escapist may have shot themselves in the foot with the "First 1000 get entered into Prize-Draw" thing, since it kinda encourages people to get through it as fast as possible to get into the draw. Which would skew the results, when presumably they'd prefer us to think about what we say.

Then again, I'm not entirely sure how long it would take to get to 1000, so this might not be a problem after all.

Also, I'm here a few times a day, so I put 20 per week. You people who put over 100: What in the world are you doing?! Closing the Escapist just to open it again? :p

"How often do you visit the escapist?" is a weird question. I just kind of tab into it several times a day, so... lots. But it's always going to be either in excess of 100, or just once or twice for those who just watch ZP.

For the relationships question, you don't have the option for "engaged". I put dating but really, I'm engaged to be married.

Hey, guys, some of us try to run secure browsers. That is to say, browsers that don't promiscuously execute JavaScript from any damned site that wants to inject it into a Web page. As such, the link to your survey came up with nothing but a URL to SurveyMonkey's home page.

...Until I debugged your page and discovered that I needed to enable JavaScript for SurveyMonkey's scripts to run on your page.

I know you guys work very hard, but this is just really really bad design, guys...

Fuck yeah! A badge! Why even advertise the $100 when there's a badge up for grabs? A freaking badge, man!

This is a website and your user base is very international. So why are alot of questions aimed at the USA.I understand you cant have every possible answer on the survey but a few other options would have helped your non-us escapists feel like our opinions are valued

Annoying having to click other then type out you answer for alot of questions.Making it take more than 15 minutes.

Do SurveyMonkey inject their own questions or is the Escapist really interested in the sort of fast food I like to eat?

Finally it worked. Now where's my badge?

I'm really disappointed with the survey, seemed very general. Would have liked to give my input (grade and comment) on specific features on the site.

Unfair question about "How many times do I visit the Escapist in a week?"!

It wants a whole number but I visit most of the day every day. So I just put 100 :p
I know what you mean. It brightened my morning to see, "The comment you entered is in an invalid format. Please enter a whole number. If you visit The Escapist more times than you can count, we <3 you and any number above 100 will work."

We <3 you too, Staff. :)

You're blaming the Escapist for what your browser addons are doing? Really? You aren't even supposed to be running script-blocking what-nots on the Escapist website. Enable all the Escapist website- I do it myself to support the site, and after all these years, my computer hasn't been eaten by gremlins.

During the El Shaddai contest, I was clicking so fast that Kross was actually PMing me on the IRC to ask if I was botting, so yeah. XD

So, where's my badge then? And do I receive some kind of email as confirmation for taking part in the lottery?

Wait so the badge is not awarded for completing the survey? X_X
That was a very long survey you know....

I noticed how well rounded the clothing brand question was. But the music was lacking some serious amount of options. Cmon guys a bit of research :D
Just out of the top of my head...where was the Asian music K-Pop, J-pop? We have a huge group of anime/manga fans here :D

Dance music?....What happened to Techno/House/Drum and Base? They are very very different :D
Its not a big deal but i was dissapointed by the general answers put on the list in those categories.

Otherwise glad to help.

p.p: GIEF ME MY BADGE :p

Just finished the survey and I have three remarks. First it seems a bit redundant to ask if someone's over 13 if you just asked what their year of birth is. Secondly most options were quite usa-centric (but i can imagine it would be hard to make a truly international poll). Lastly there was no "none" option with the fashion brand identification question, which seemed quite silly.
