Things got a little hectic around the holidays for many of us (I survived my first corporate merger!) and as a result the CommuniCast fell behind schedule. However, fear not my fellow Escapians, for we have continued to record episodes in the meantime and plan to roll them out to you all in the coming days/weeks. So without further adieu, I present the long overdue Escapist MovieCast featuring our very own community moderator Marter [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/Marter] and his pal DarkKnifer [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/Dark%20Knifer]!



As for what's to come:

- Bad Moviecast, End of this Week (2/15)
- Forum Gamescast, Beginning of Next Week (2/18)
- Tabletopcast, End of Next Week (2/22)

So where the fuck have we been? Well, beyond the poor excuse I've already given, we decided we should take a step back and look at the direction the show was heading in. Due to its nature of being a cast-rotating, community wide endeavor, we think our new theme-based episodes will help drive on-topic discussion as the participants will generally be chosen based on their interest/expertise on the topic at hand. We may continue to do "current events in gaming" type discussions in the future, but for now we'd like to experiment with this format.

However, all of this would be for naught if you guys don't get involved. We do have a lot of community members in on this, but we'd love to get more! If you're interested in getting involved or you just want to keep up to date on what we're working on, check out the user group [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/CommuniCast-FailCast]. This thread will also be the new Official CommuniCast update thread, so we'll likely update this thing any time a new episode comes out.

What are we recording next you ask? Well, I've been talking about hosting a Persona themed episode if anyone wants to appear in that. We're also looking to do a Community Creations episode where some of our more creative users will be able to share and discuss their projects (we've already got someone from Haywire Magazine signed up)!

Well, I think that's about it. I want to thank Lucem [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/Lucem712] for making this amazing new title card for us, Fiz [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/Fiz_The_Toaster] for all her hard sound goblin work and everyone else who has taken part in this project so far!
