Meingersci.

Mein as in Mine.

Ger as in Gar(rus).

Sci as in Sky.

EDIT: While looking at a pair of ooglies I noticed that there was a eclipse involving the Sun and Meingersci. It was shlyndenflein!
Good word. If you want you could think about how to say "full moon" or how to describe the other phases of the moon.

What do you think about using the guiding vowel "ai" to make the "I" sound and so spell "meingersci" "maingerscai"?

Horn: barroo.

Bah, like where Australians get drinks, and a long oo, like roo, or shoo. Sounds like a horn.
I like it. It's fun to say. If barroo means horn we could create a root word like "fan" that means animal, and so a "fanroo" or a "barfan" could mean "horned animal".

30. blood = aisu

A nice shorter word, you can decide how "Ai" is produced.

If I'm allowed to suggest a second, I think 15. small = maya

You can make up as many words as you like, the more the better.

Flankenflugelspielsterbangstermongosterflangsterpampipampampapapalalalagagagafelesterwiezelvangerkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. It means "you". Flank is like 'wank' from 'wanking' (it's the first thing that came up, well second thing [ badum tish], shut up.). "e" is like the "el" sound in sample, but without the "l". Flugel as in the drink. Spiel is like the german. The "i" in pampi is like "ee". The rest should be self explainatory.

You know it's funny, I was recently listening to the commentary track for starvin marvin and when Trey and Matt talk about Marklar they're like " well english is overdone. If you just use like some of the words you can get your point across.

OT: I really think that some of the words we're trying to change don't need to be changed. Things like "the" or "you" having a new word would just complicate things. I think it would be better to have some choice phrases and only slang for specific words that get thrown around a lot like "Games are art" and maybe something for whenever we get hot button topics. Now I'm sad because the Escapist doesn't have custom emoticons.

If you want you could think of variations of "clah" for the other Wh. question words. For example "clav" could be "what".

That's not a bad idea. If you want you can make a list of choice phrases and words we could create slang for and I will add it to the list. Then you could have the choice to use it like you described with English words in the sentences or use only the Escapist tongue without any english.

Thanks! I think it's best if we are talking slang we should stick to using pseudonyms instead of new words so that they have some sort of humour or wit to them. Maybe we should look to some of the featured content for inspiration since it is a pretty big part of the site.

Maybe "Flankenflugelspielsterbangstermongosterflangsterpampipampampapapalalalagagagafelesterwiezelvangerkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk" is the longer formal or archaic variant of "you" while a shortened fla, pam, or something is used in ordinary conversation? I will go ahead and add "badum tish" to the list.

I like where your going with this. We could use funny idioms as well.

I think some of the most important things to cover would be the stuff that turns up all the time yet never really goes anywhere. Like:

art = doodley-doo

ponies = something

piracy = something

still working on it.

Just a question, but this will be extremely simplistic no? Because I'm not exactly sure how you would work in past/present/future tenses...

OT: Mine would be
Yarrvar = Pirate = Yar-var
Yarrvares = Pirates = Yar-verre
Yarrva = Piracy = Yar-va

:D This could be cool!

Oh, and eliminate exclamation marks and question marks. add "u" as in lawsuit for an exclamation, and "che" for a question. Add these directly onto the end of a word. This way, at any point in a sentence you can make part of it a question, and part of it a statement without having to make the entire sentence into a question. Isn't that betterche, because I like itu. Maybe it isn't better, but I like that it eliminates those awkward sentences that must either be split in two or made entirely into a question to be grammatically correct.

Okay I've got some more slang.

Ponies = Rapidashes (because videogames)

Youtube = um...

Usergroups = uh...

This is harder than I thought.

These words sound good. From "Yarrverre" we could conclude that the suffix "-re" implies plurality. For example are word for "horn" is "barroo" so "horns" would be "barroore".

As far as tenses go, I say we make a rule that unless otherwise noted we are always in present tense. Then for future tense we add the suffix "-wa" to the verb or linking verb in a sentence, and for past tense we add the suffix "-we" in the same manner. So, as an example "The pirate sees." would be "yarrvar von, "the pirate will see." would be "yarrvar vonwa." and "The pirate has seen." would be "yarrvar vonwe." We can say that like in most Asian languages the articles "a/an/the" are implied, because we assume all words are singular unless otherwise noted. And words like "have/will/has/had" are all implied by the tense indicating suffixes.

I like your words and I will add your ideas about the question indicating suffix "-che" and the emphases partial "u" to the grammar.

Hahaha, i like "pam" to be "you" then, but I sure as well will always use Flankenflugelspielsterbangstermongosterflangsterpampipampampapapalalalagagagafelesterwiezelvangerkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk whenever I can ! xD. Also, Badum Tish is the sound a drumroll makes after a bad joke. . So i didn't mean "shut up" to mean Badum Tish :p. But it's your language, so yeah... :p
