I never thought I'd say this about an MMO or indeed about any RPG:

I really love the escort quests in Guild Wars 2.

A message will pop up informing you that merchant A is going to settlement B and an icon pops up on the mini-map and then you and 20 other people swarm in and provide a rolling cover for the wagon (which follows a pretty sensible route). It takes 2-5 minutes and if you're new to the map area then you usually wind up getting a new settlement marked on the map when you get there. Plus the XP and cash reward. This is how escort quests were meant to be.
Also, generally speaking, if the escortee dies you have a window of time where you can res them.

I don't recall any other MMO being so much fun to simply explore. I mean, I could be on the way to a waypoint, then find a bit of iron ore so I go to mine it. I mine it and see a cave nearbye, so I wander inside to see what's in it. I fight my way through some veteran and champion enemies (stronger than usual opponents) with a few random people who happened to be in the area to find a chest at the back of a cave and I still haven't gotten the waypoint I was origionally heading for!

and then there are the jumping puzzles I stumble upon with a pleasant reward for sticking with them.

I've got my warrior focused on maximising the benefit of my regen healing signet allong with stacking precition for masses of might. I can mix in with the toughest enemies for a while then roll out to pelt them with a rifle or a longbow to recover my health before jumping in again. It's incredible!

I'm having a blast with this game!

Bad luck Evilwasbeer.
Wants to buy the game.
Digital copies sold out.
How is that possible?
They aren't sold out. Arenanet stopped selling copies on their website temporarily so they can fix the current problems with the game easier. You can still buy the game from third party sites/retailers.

If I remember well they did this a few weeks ago. Any idea how long it took for then to start selling again? Days? Weeks?

They did it a few days after launch, which was less then a week ago. They will probably start selling on their site in the next free weeks, but you can buy it from Amazon digitally I think.
