Oh, one other thing I should mention: Attendance at this particular company event was mandatory. Meetings, you can miss, but Nerf war? Nope, your ass better be there.

Whoever brought in the vulcan (minigun) is fucking awesome. More companies need to do cool stuff like this.
Actually, just about every game developer we've visited on The Escapist Show [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/the-escapist-show] has one prominently displayed somewhere. Whether they've actually been used in battle, I can't say for sure. ;)

Man, war is hell, huh?

Looked like a ton of fun, other than maybe the world's slowest escort quest ever...

Heheheh the Strategy "Give Susan the Chaingun........you win"

Or the power sword either way. It would be funny to have people shouting "For the Emperor!"

This made my day.

That was Spinwiz's. In fact he had another gun earlier in the day but decided to go back to Target and exchange it for the Vulcan. It looks impressive, but it jammed ALL the time. I'm pretty sure that's why our team didn't win. :)

It could only have been more epic is Dio himself was there performing live while the slaughter raged on.

There needs to be a nerf bomb or explosive. Something you can attach to a wall that has a proximity sensor that will explode chunks of nerf shrapnel if a person gets too close or hits a trip wire or something. Remote detonation?

Someone get on this!!!

What this video does not show is the absolute havoc that can result from proper use of the sword. A berserker charge that won a round for our team...

...at the cost of my pants :(

That was my knee all skinned up in the video. It happened because I was the one leading the CEO back to our base (I was transferred off the bizdev team to the editorial team to even out the number). See, in order to win the round, you had to lead the CEO back to your particular base. If someone shot you, you dropped everything and fell down until one of your team's medics run over and slapped you with a piece of paper that just said "Medic" on it. Then you got up where you fell and continued fighting. So, I had the medics camping me and I kept dying/rezzing/dying/rezzing/etc while I lead the CEO back to our base.

Btw, the CEO makes for good cover.

Certain berserkers don't notice when they are hit with the nerf guns from the spawn point they turned their back to. *cough* *cough* :p

Also, that first quote in the video with the expletive...that was me, directed at a certain berserking sword-wielding editor.

The video doesn't do justice to the overall mayhem we all encountered.

Yeah I think that was my fault. I killed you three times during that escort, in a row. hahaha. I pretty much waited for you to get revived to kill you again!

What is also not mentioned in this video is that Team 1 *coughmyteamcoughcough* was victorious. But sadly, our VIP did not triumph in the VIP smackdown.
