(Before you moan at me after you find a previous thread about the same topic: Yes, I did do a search! Can't see anything like it
)
The Escapist. Found it by accident, and pretty much love at first sight. There seems to be an element of pride when I open up my browser and see the beautiful Escapist web page emanating from my screen.
Anything and everything I could ever want is here! I'm certain it?s the same for many of you. It instantly seems to welcome you into this close community ranging from avid, recreational and casual gamers. It kindly, selflessly entices me further into this niche of nerds (no offence, I am one of you!) offering us a huge and ever expanding range of features.
For example: Yahtzee, you always seem to say everything that needs to be said. You tickle your audience in that sophisticated but silly way, which just makes any day, no matter how crap or long, the best day ever.
You guys at Unskippable... simply genius! Schoolboy and innovative humor that makes me and many many others laugh 'till our sides hurt! I wish there was some merchandise for it! Harder than ZP I know, but maybe the logo? Obviously I get a cut if you like the idea
jokes. Or am I?
Forums. One of the few websites I've found that let the community speak their minds, freely, in a relaxed atmosphere. They're moderated to a perfect standard and I feel really give me a voice and somewhere to chat happily and confidently with my gaming peers and have a good debate and laugh.
Then there?s all the new browser game (haven't got around to playing it yet :S), news, reviews and previews! I'm kept well informed on the video game world now, and has helped me buy better and spend my precious gaming moments wisely! It develops them in a straight forwardly in a sensible manner. My previous experience of gaming sites, naming no names *cough* gamespot *cough* (hehehe they lost...) left me feeling pretty... bored and left in the dark.
Finally, well not the final thing on here, but the final feature I'm going to discuss is us readers. We 'mere' gaming readers really feel welcome here! We can discuss anything we want, even write a review! We have a true home here.
So in conclusion you guys at the escapist. Thank you. Your hard work really makes this website what it is! I love it here, and so do many others, we can just mingle and relax. I can't sit still when i think of what could be to come! Keep up the good work Escapist!
