Angry Joe use to be really good with hi reviews and what not, but lately I've found him to be picking on things that really don't make much sense. I'll elaborate. When he reviewed Saints Row: The Third some of the criticism for the game seemed to be somewhat unwarranted or just plain wrong. He was annoyed that the game wasn't like the second Saints Row, he believed that it became too silly (it's debatable that he may be right, but the whole series has always been silly, good example is the mini game in SR2 where you spray crap on houses and what not). He also stated that the game forces you to play the minigames in order to proceed, however this is not entirely true. Saints Row 3 has main missions intergrate the minigames once, and then the rest of the game you have the choice to play them or not, whilst in the second game the minigames HAD to be played in order to advance on to the next main mission and you would have to play them multiple times.
Another example of where he has had strange criticisms is in his Assassins Creed 3 review. He was criticising the video games loading screens for being too bright (which is a really stupid thing to put a game down for). He also criticised the game for not allowing him to run head first into hundreds of soldiers shooting at him, and that the mission forced him to play stealthily...OH NO! How dare the developers make a section where the Assassin has to use stealth to get to his target. If anything, that mission was made so much better that it didn't follow the trailer, because it made you feel like an Assassin, yet Joe was angry because he couldn't do something that was in a pre release cinematic trailer.
Angry Joe use to be really good at reviewing games, but lately he seems to have fallen into the whole "Wait until everyone else says something about the game being good or bad, and then look for all possible things to criticise the game about". Which is really annoying because there are games he has given 5 and 6 scores for when in reality they are quite good. I wanna see Joe back when he was reviewing marvel vs capcom 3. THAT was a good review, same with his Mortal Kombat review, but lately he just seems to be waiting for the majority to cast their opinion on the game before he gives the game a fair go.
