After being through these forums many a month now, I have seen the growth of a pattern that many hate threads include. The fuck this because this happened to me is the pattern i'm referring to. They are normally aimed at something popular at the time (Steam, skyrim, CoD, Origin). Here is the formula they follow. Something happened to me whilst using this particular product, therefore the whole service is bad and if I continue using I will get more and more ragier. The solitary instance often refers to a bug or a glitch that has happened whilst you have been using the service. Often there are many people who say a number of fixes for this glitch/bug, but the OP normally refuses to acknowledge them for one reason or another. That is my trend

My first question to you is "what trends do you see in these threads?"

My second question is" "For the trend you mentioned, think up a thread title that fits the trend perfectly.

PS, Any way I could move this thread to off topic?

Someone makes an MLP thread to the tune of:

'OMG Y U NO LIKE PONIES!?'

Or

'OMG I FUKIN H8 PONIES!'

Not those exact words, but it's pretty much what I read when I see those threads.

Unbridled hate and persecution complexes are unleashed upon the world.

Also, thousands of pony meme pictures that stopped being funny about ten minutes after they were made.

Could you post a title for a thread that fits the theme perfectly? It is the second question!

Or you have done it.

"CoD, why the hate?"

I swear to god I have seen that exact title over 100 times in the past 6 months.

And "COD, why does anyone like it?"

Chances are good that if you frame a thread about a game as a loaded question, your thread sucks ass.

Well, around here when a new (big) game is released you tend to get a whole bunch of "Why [POPULAR GAME] is awesome!" and "Best moments in [POPULAR GAME]" threads.

Then after a short while you get the "My issues with [POPULAR GAME]" threads, where someone complains a little before qualifying it by saying that they still like the game overall. At this stage you usually get some people responding reasonably, and a few people taking offence and getting angry about a perceived insult to the game they like.

Next you get "What's with all the fuss about [POPULAR GAME]?", in which the OP doesn't really like the game and (sometimes genuinely) wants to be told something which will suddenly make him enjoy it. It inevitably becomes a flame-war.

Finally you have my personal favourite, "[POPULAR GAME] SUX AND HERE IS WHY UR OPINION IS WRONG!". This one is a mixture of flame-war and condescending comments right from the start.

You do get some threads appearing outside of the established order, and the length of each stage seems to vary a lot between each game. For example, the final stage never ever ends for COD games.

Also, this is just my current perception of each stage based on vague memories of the time I've spent here, so I could be wrong. More research is required.
