Maybe I am just skipping over it, but I am having trouble finding the list of fantasy books that was recommended by one the writers for the escapist a week or so ago. I am sorry that I cannot remember the title of the story, the writer, or anything else but that it was a list of recommended books. any help would be much appreciated.

I can't help with linking to the list, but as I came in here expecting to give an opinion as to what should be on it I can recommend "Of Mice and Men" by John Steinbeck.

I borrowed it from the Library the other day and was reminded of how awesome books are. Got back into reading a lot more often since.

PS. Nice avatar.

If it was on The Escapist, then I'm fairly sure you can find it from here, with a little bit of trying (more).

All I've got to say is Tolkien. I love Tolkien.

Excluding Tolkien, the only fantasy books I've read are the Trudi Canavan "Black Magician" trilogy, which I definitely recommend - and this is coming from someone who is generally not a huge fan of the genre.

Does Artemis Fowl count as fantasy? Even if it doesn't then it's close enough!

Seconded. Also, 1984, the discworld series, and comics. Lots of comics.
