Thanks for the links to all these games websites so I can read more and see trailers! *heavy sarcasm*

I only had search google for Frontiers three times to find it. There's apparently another game by the same name about African immigration to Europe, an airplane company, and a group of Christian's trying to "save" Muslims.

Especially looking forward to Dark Souls 2 and I might just take someone out for a copy of Witcher 3. I even saw some gems here that I was completely oblivious to. Deep Down looks amazing. But there a few odd mentions of games I would have expected to be nothing more than decent time killers. I'm really surprised there was no mention of the new EQ titles as well. EQ:L is entering alpha within the next 30 days, it looks like a dream sandbox and is set up to be a big hit. Blown away it's not on this list. What are you guys, ex SWG players?

And yeah, wth? You bumped X because you're not sold on it, but you're sold on titles like Quadrilateral Cowboys, Mario Kart 8 and Rimworld? Just seems a bit... whacky to be truthful xD Everyone has the right to their own opinion I guess :S

Are you serious? This "article" has 17 pages with 2 games per page? I can guarantee you I stopped reading after page one, this is simply bullshit. I can tolerate 2-3 pages per article but seven-fucking-teen? That's crazy.

Thanks that just totally depressed me about both the gaming prospects for 2014 and the fact that I bought a PS4.

I don't mean over an Xbone, I mean at all. Most of the titles I have any interest in are coming on PC, which of course has been dead as a gaming platform for about 10 years according to Gamespot. Just as well I have a fair PC because it looks like I will be on it more.

PS4 since launch and all I have been playing is State of Decay Breakdown on my PC which thankfully is a great game for $15.

...... sad times....

i just realized how cynical i am about 2014. Only 3 games i am waiting for in that huge list. The games being
galactic civilizations 3
Watch Dogs
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

And i am starting to get second thoughts about Watch Dogs.
However Warlock 2: The Exiled sounds good, and its similar way of howi found warclocks: master of the arcane game, so i may take a look.

however i do kind of try to not get excited about new games too much. there is this list of 161 games already released that i want to play. so many games so little time...

Just wondering, next time could you publish the whole name of the person writing the segment? There's no big list of Escapist employees to check against in the "Escapist Staff" profile, and a lot of you have fairly nondescript names (For instance, is "Paul" from the Bayonetta segment Paul Goodman or Paul Saunders?).
I agree that a full name would have been a good thing to do.
however there IS a list:
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/content/about

Also Paul Saunders is with LoadingReadyRun (a co-founder) and not escapists employee.

P.S. capcha: muffled rap music. No, that doesnt fit with anticipation.

actually, later they pick up the pace to 5 games per page, and one page is about same lenght of the average news article here. i agree that such page cracking is awful awful thing but they seem to at least have a jutifyinable reason now as far as lenght is concerned. it used to be worse before.

Thanks for the list. I knew Paul was with LRR, but I didn't know if he might write a little as well; for instance, Jim wrote a couple of sections, but as far as I know he is a freelancer who has videos hosted here, not officially an Escapist employee.

Jim is now official Escapists Reviews editor [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.832758-Jim-Sterling-Leaves-Destructoid-UPDATE-Jim-Joins-The-Escapist] (who seems to not be in that list for whatever reason, strnage, i guess they need updating) after he left Destructoid, and he writes his own reviews too.

I never saw Paul Saunders write anything on escapist (admittedly i dont read everything thats put out there so i may be mistaken). He probably writes what he wants on LoadingReadyRun website (they have plenty of stuff there but i dont follow it closely).
