I've recently been playing a lot of on-line shooter action. I've found many players may as well be deliberately sabotaging the team effort. It dirves me nuts.

I want to yell at people sometimes, but if they don't have a mic they can't stand up for themselves.

What if I'm making some nine year old girl cry?

Where do you draw the line with people in on-line gaming? What pushes your buttons? When (if ever) is it ok to yell at people?

Either go all out, or don't say anything at all. Anyone who tries to stand up for themselves is likely going to come back on you with insults, so you have to be ready for that. If a person wants to play online, they have to have a thick skin.

Plus, nine year old girls shouldn't be playing online shooters. Tsk tsk to her parents.

When people yell at you when you stop healing them. When there is a teammate on his last legs, and they are being overhealed.

What pushes my buttons is intolerable racism and ignorance to common knowledge.
Oh, and when someone says they hate a game and STILL play it, while complaining about it for the whole world to hear.

There's always some asshole startling the witch in left 4 dead...

Also I can't tolerate people who are just completely ignorant and act as total douchebags.

On COD it's usually the; "you beat me and you're a douche who has no life for doing so.".

They are mad that they got beat and rely on trying to put you down to make themselves feel better about losing.

It's going to be even worse with the flood of kids getting the game for Christmas. So it's all downhill from here.

Team killers, in a search and destroy match! ¬.¬

Actually team killers in any match type. I like the later call of dutys making that shooting team mates harms yourself :3

If I get angry and verbal about it, its actually usually directed towards myself, as I am more likely to do something stupid and annoying than another player.

Either that, or I avoid playing games with people who would honestly frustrate me greatly ;)

I generally get angry at the game rather than the people in the game. MAG causes endless frustration for example with it's occasional awful (and rarely better than adequate) design decisions and as such tends to cause a lot of frustration.

The people I can deal with. The childish insults, the smack talk, the racist or homophobic sayings - these things do not anger so much as they amuse. The best these people will accomplish is getting negative feedback on their gamer card (as if it matters) and a muting so I don't have to listen to their nonsense.

Yeah, see I did a stint in the infantry, so my squad level tactics are pretty sound (even if vaugly sucidal at times).

I've been playing combat missions on Teir 1, which are a great idea... but god it shits me when we're supposed to be assulting the enemy and my dick-cheese squaddies all go sniper and hide!

MOVE UP AND ATTACK YOU LIMP MOTHERF****S!!!! Doesn't seem to be in english sometimes.

I can't stand teamkillers. They are the absolute worst. The worst of the worst. They sometimes make me angry, but I'm a very calm person, and find it genuinely difficult to get angry about anything, so that's saying something.

Abusive messengers make me sad in a 'fearful for the state of the species' kind of way. You know, those gamers who just can't let go and send messages telling you just how much of a n00b/homosexual/etc you are, and how really, they're much better than you are at everything.

I can't say I ever really get too angry at a game.
Tk'ers are meh.
Even people who hacking on servers don't piss me off that much.
I find it as some sort of challenge to try to kill them or hurt their kill death ratio.

Although nothing is as funny (angerwise) than playing BF2 and seeing people retaliating to aircraft stealing (or sometimes not the case.).
It's either:

a) Stand in front of the plane which was taken so they are forced to teamkill.

Or the more creative approach...

b) Plant C4 on plane/chopper and give them a few seconds of air time till meeting their end.

However playing singleplayer games and having cheap 'difficult' A.I.
For example, one soldier sees you; then everybody knows where you are. Even after you broke line of sight from them.
That can push my buttons.

Fair enough. I'm noticing something of a trend that we all know exists, but largely don't want to talk about outside gamer circles... Shit awful game mechanics and fucked up bugs that should have been beta stomped prior to us spending our hard earned.

Cos let's face it... Most of us would sooner play 'til our brain is bleeding from fustration before admitting to our wives/girlfriends/pets/significant others that we just wasted a stack of perfectly good cash on something that just shits us to tears.

Developers need to lift their game. Bethedesa recently got a rant off me cos there were more bugs in the code than there were radroaches in the game. FOR SHAME!!!!

P.S. Also, the guys who have a mic purely so they can incessantly say "Dirka dirka" while playing as a "A-rab" annoy me. Grrr. I can only imagine if I were islamic.
