Swear words a linguistic crutch for people with a meager vocabulary.
So? Not everyone needs to have a massive vocabulary, and not everyone SHOULD have a massive vocabulary, because then all the extravagant words all us internet ppl use to impress people loose their impact.

But Rabshakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?
Mr James Joyce, J.D.Salinger, William Shakespear, D.H.Lawrence, Oscar Wilde were not known for their meagre vocabulary.

On a related note : Shakespear also did "Your mom" jokes...

Demetrius: "Villain, what hast thou done?"
Aaron: "That which thou canst not undo."
Chiron: "Thou hast undone our mother."
Aaron: "Villain, I have done thy mother."

I have no problem with swearing, but I should probably work the casual swearing out of my language - you know, the words that just slip in out of habit and has no real meaning or effect. However, I would never refrain from swearing if I felt the situation was appropriate. Censorship is the friendlier, more well-meaning cousin of book burning, but it's still a controlling little bastard.

All things in moderation, don't go the way of Dane Cook.
Never go the way of Dane Cook whatsoever, if I might say so.
Unfunny white attention whore, everything loathsome in one caucasian packaged tailored to 13yo and 16yo kids...

Well, I quite agree with Ultrajoe about swearing, and that pretty much settles it.

On a related note, go hear the Monty Python skit about the versatility of the F-Word...

Talking about the f-word and vulgarism. Just watch it for entertainment and comedy.

I swear when something pisses me off, or I hurt myself and swear under my breath or something, most of the time though I just kiss my teeth.
