So, another BBC3 drama has hit our screens, and unlike previously hyped outings Outcasts and Spooks: Code 9, this one seems to be shaping up as a hit. Touted as Being Human meets Skins, The Fades is a pretty decent drama/horror with plenty of laughs and just enough scares to keep you entertained, and enough mystery to keep you hanging on for the next episode.

Yes, for the record, I have fallen in love with this show.

So, this thread is basically to see who else has heard of it, seen it, or plans to see it, and to get people's thoughts so far. Also, since if the thread is a hit (in the unlikely event that people actually decide to post on one of my threads without me waiting a day then having to bump it for a single extra post), there may be spoilers of previous episodes and speculation on what's to come. So just be warned there.

As for me, I'm intrigued by the character Natalie (my new avatar, for the record). There's definitely something interesting about her, and she seems a little too interested in main character Paul to be as innocent as she appears, even with her feeding habits taken into account... ;P. Anyone else noticed that, or just me?

I saw the first episode a while back. I wasn't really paying attention to it but I got the general idea. I might have to watch more episodes.

Well, it's not quite as awesome as that sounds, there's more of an actual ongoing mystery plot involved rather than just a bunch of supernatural people getting drunk and stoned. There's a bit of a war for the fate of humanity going on too, but there is an element of teens getting messed up too. I suppose it's more 'Being Human meets Skins meets Supernatural' in a way (though in my opinion, no part of that is bad! :D).

[small]EDIT: That being said, there are plenty of Skins alumni involved. Lily Loveless (who was Naomi in Skins) plays the main character's twin sister Anna, his best friend Mac is played by Daniel Kaluuya (Posh Kenneth and Skins co-writer), and the Big Bad Jolus, introduced last episode, is Joe Dempsie (Chris from the first two seasons)...[/small]
