The fear. A state of mind which usually assumes anxiety of the sort that is usually too much for a person. In spite of 'the glass is always half full and how did it get there'?, attitude I carry and the positive frame of mind I try to promote, to those who would read and those who would disregard it I ask you this...

Are you familiar with the fear? If so, what do you do to combat it?

On the flipside, if you've never experienced the fear, how do you keep it at away? Am I a big baby for still allowing this to flow through my imagination?

Thoughts and stories appreciated. Trolling and piss-takes welcomed with a smile(hey, if you can't smile you've missed the point...).

Is "The Fear" an actual object your talking about or just the concept of fear in general?

The fear? As opposed to regular fear? I guess I don't get it. If by "have you ever been so freaked you were frozen" then yes. Yes I have experienced the fear; I was playing on the computer at about one in the morning when I should have been in bed at ten, and my parents woke up. My decision? To sit still and pray to God they don't notice the glow of a computer under the door. Not the best move, but hey, I couldn't move.

I don't really understand where your going to mean you mean a scary experience that you associate with an object and now associate it with an image. Like death itself and death the skeletal creature?

Yeah, I thought it was just the concept as well, but now that I've reread the OP, I have no fucking idea which he means.

EDIT: Although, as for how I deal with fear in general..."I must not fear. Fear is the mindkiller..."

I've never really had "the fear", but to keep it away I just act positive and think of opertunities, like travelling etc.

Ok, to those of you who have no idea what I'm on about it should be straightforward. It ain't rocket science. The fear; a dumbed-down/over-representation of the anxieties which attack some of us from time to time.

Never, though I do tend to get rather unnerved around spiders. It's more of a "You put 1 more of your 8 legs closer to me AND I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU WITH A CHAINSAW YOU MOTHER FUCKER GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE" feeling that I have adopted from my time playing DOOM 3.

you will always fear from the unknown, since it's basically instinctive for you to survive anything that doesn't seem familiar to you.

the thing is that you must not let too much fear dominate you, also remember that the bravest men aren't those who doesn't fear to die; in fact, they are those who struggle to stay alive after a challenge/battle whatever.

Heh, I was waiting for someone to do that... but no. I'm trying to ignite some semi-serious discussion here. Maybe.

Do you mean like that time when you're in a paranoid mood, and you can't keep from imagining horrible things popping up/being behind you/dragging you away/whatever?

Maybe instead of making a reply re-write your OP
