At least they got one, that saves them a little bit of dignity.Uhura said:I've never seen a game like this. I hope Brazil manages to re-group before their next game and I hope there won't be any riots/violence after this game. Geez... 7-0
EDIT: 7-1
They were proper rimming Germany. The english commentators always praise the winning team furiously, never commenting on their mistakes just the good stuff and acting like they're the best thing since sliced bread until they lose. Everyone was bigging Brazil up throughout the tournament and now they're saying that it's the worst Brazil side ever.Shamanic Rhythm said:Love how the commentators went "Oh look, the germans are furious they let in that one goal."
Brazil's defense was terrible on the first half, David Luiz tried, but playing alone on defense was impossible.Johnny Novgorod said:I watched the game at a coffee store and the Brazilian couple sitting next to me left at half time. Don't blame them. At. All.
I would imagine so. Did you see/hear how the Brazilians started cheering for the opposition with "olés" during the second half? The bad blood was palpable.Diablo2000 said:Brazil's defense was terrible on the first half, David Luiz tried, but playing alone on defense was impossible.Johnny Novgorod said:I watched the game at a coffee store and the Brazilian couple sitting next to me left at half time. Fred as always didn't help, neither did Bernard. On the second there was a slight improve, or at least I think was a improve, Germany might have tone down a bit in order not to take risks and keep the score they already have and they made two extra goals anyway.
Also, I been getting reports that people went bat shit insane on the stadium after the game, I guess that's bad sportmanship for you.
Yeah, after a while stop being a "fuck this" situation and startet being downright funny, I did hear a dude cheering for Germany calling out "Shirley" for one of the Germany players whose name is apparently very similar to Shirley.Johnny Novgorod said:I would imagine so. Well the clientelle I was with was cheering for every German goal, so I suppose the feeling is mutual. Stupid neighborly rivalry I guess.Diablo2000 said:Yeah, after a while stop being a "fuck this" situation and startet being downright funny, I did hear a dude cheering for Germany calling out "Shirley" for one of the Germany players whose name is apparently very similar to Shirley.Johnny Novgorod said:I would imagine so. I think if we face Argentina in the 3rd place match and lose then I pretty sure the country would downright explode, because for some reason we see Argentina as a rival to be hated.
I haven't seen all of Brazil's games, but why the hate for him? The defence failed miserably, why isn't Luiz blamed? The Goat Tsar said:Fred better find a place to hide or score 5 goals in the 3rd place match. It seems like Brazil has decided to blame him for this whole debacle, judging by how much they booed him that match.
