Streets of Rage 2 on the Megadrive at a friend's house. My subsequent pleas for an MD were answered with an Atari 2600. Nice of my parents to get me a decade old console, but still Pacman Jr and Roadrunner were awesome.

The first game i've ever played must be the first in the sonic series on the Sega Megadrive.

After the amount of frankly pitiful games squeezed out of that series its almost embarrassing to even look at a sonic game nowadays.

I remember most clearly Spyro 1 for the Playstation 1. I loved that game and it's weird music. They only screwed up the later versions by replacing Tom Kenny (who whored himself out to Nickelodeon) with Elijah Wood and replacing whoever played Sparx with David Spade. Love themo both, but they don't work.

I also played GTA: Vice City at five. Great game, lots of hooker bludgeoning.

Tetris. They used to have those kiosks at Wal-Mart that looked like a giant Game Boy, which was the best thing ever. I remember my parents used to let me play it when I was 4-5 years old. I think it was a demo game, so you didn't have to put in quarters... But I might be wrong. When you're five years old, you don't tend to remember the money aspect of things.

I think it was Pokemon or something. It might've been Tekken or something though. The first game I ever bought was a port of Kirby's Adventure on the GBA.

Holds dear memories of the gameplay...could never beat it though.

Are we talking legitimate games here or those pseudo-interactive things? Because if its the later, "Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo" certainly takes the top of the list.

I feel so ashamed.

My first real game was Descent. No shame with that one, only a regret that its too old for modern computers.
I remember the Putt-Putt games.

My first real game was SimCity 3.

Something like Jazz Jackrabbit. The first game I properly owned was Tetris on the old, yellow brick GameBoys, but I'd played consoles a long time before that (namely the Sega, thanks to my mum's ex-boyfriend). The first game I truly fell in love with (And thus built my thinking of 'what makes a good game') around was Lylat Wars/Star Fox 64.
