But now I subvert your expectations!

This thread isn't about the Forgotten Realms setting itself, but about all the D&D settings which, for one reason or another, are no longer being published. The realms which WotC has forgotten, as it were.

Speaking for myself, it makes me kind of depressed when I look back on how many campaign worlds there were in the AD&D days, compared to the three there are now. There's nothing wrong with the Forgotten Realms, Eberron and Dark Sun, but surely there's room for more? Greyhawk, Planescape, Al-Qadim, Ravenloft, and others. I'm sure there would be a lot of money in reprinting these worlds for the modern game, and it would be cheaper as well because they wouldn't need to keep designing a new edition every time they run out of ideas.

The one I particularly wish still existed was Al-Qadim, partly because an Arabian Nights CRPG is something I think would be a fantastic idea, and partly because I've been re-reading the setting book lately. I'm sure there would be a market for it, and it would feel so much more fantastical than the muddy Medieval kingdoms we usually get stuck with.

So, Escapists, which D&D campaign settings do you miss?
