Hello European and International Escapists.
I am an American, and I am very sad to report that over here stereotypes of European countries aren't very creative. We mainly lump entire countries into single profiles.
For Example.
Germans: Workaholic blonds who drink a lot and get a hard on for efficiency.
Italians: Loud, greasy, fat, Catholics who drink a lot of wine.
French: Elitist snobs who laugh at Jerry Lewis and eat horses/frogs.
Swedes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dqt8P6fcIzw
ETC, and other such insulting drivel.
But in the US itself we tend to create stereotypes specific to regions of the country.
Just look up all the different kinds of jokes about American Southerners.
What kind of stereotypes do you have in European countries?
I've heard much about Northerners, and French Belgians.
For the purpose of better cultural understanding, do post the ones you know.
Thank you for your time.
