The FUSE demo

I'm not sure what I think yet...I'm intruiged.

It seems like...a decent tps. It's one of the chesthighs, which isn't a bad thing.

It might all hinge on how much/well they use the fuse abilities in the game. Apart from the shield gun most are pretty standard (ie. shoot lots and they die differently), and looking at the skill trees, unfortunately nothing sounds too outlandish. Saying that, I really enjoyed the singularity gun (or whatever it's called).

I think I was hoping for something MORE than another run of the mill tps though. I guess we'll just wait and see.

I played it because I was really hoping to have another decent co-op that I could possibly play with my limited friends list (I abhor playing with strangers). And... honestly, while it does feel like there is potential, there just wasn't anything that jumped out and told me this is an immediate buy.

This isn't to say the game is bad- it feels and play very competently, but from the demo the AI wasn't anything too interesting (I could very easily flank them and take them out with minimal effort and the difficulty I was playing at (normal, the demo didn't have any other available) it felt very, very forgiving. There were more at a few places I thought for certain I should have been incapped, but that didn't happen even once.

Partner AI wasn't too hideous either, but nothing too amazing from what I experienced. I understand the main draw for this game was that each character has their own special Fuse-gun, and while it does add some variety, it doesn't have any "oomph" to it like seeing a character engulfed with flames from a Maliwan sniper rifle from Borderlands.

One cool thing though is that it appears that you can jump from one character to another in the game, so I guess that would add some more strategy to the game. However, because of the enemy AI as I mentioned, the need for this strategy seems negligible.

So... it has possibility, but nothing that convinced me to buy it immediately.

Honestly the main thing I noticed with the demo is that one of the people - Izzy, I think her name was - looks almost identical to Dodger AKA PressHeartToContinue.

But the game itself wasn't bad by any means
