?No matter how many times a person dies, surrenders, or escapes in battle, they always leave a bloody stain on the world. War still exists because of this. If we are to stop fighting, we first need to no longer hate each other. The times have changed; I hope to make a brighter future? Too much blood has been shed??
-Lorel Ion ? 6273 C.D.

Alisa---

The elevator ride up to the NAR testing site was a freighting experience. All around her she could see other participants and it put her on edge. This test she was going to take she had been preparing for month, no years, ever since she wanted to be part of NAR. A job in Computer Intel Department or CID was for the best of the best, and it wasn?t a fun trip trying to get in. In a single day, a CID worker, decodes, analyzes, tracks, spies, and even hack, all together making it one tough job for the average person.

Other students in his class in High School were lazy, some showed the same enthusiasm as she did but they were far and in between. The Space Station of New Hope is controlled by NAR but Mages and Vampires do lurk about. There were many places in New Hope to hide, in the past she had gotten lost various times, none which were pleasant trips.

As the elevator opened up Alisa rushed out and prepared her ID card that would allow her to be verified and ultimately allow her to take the test. If not, she would have to wait till the next test, next year. Any compromise was not an option, it was all in now, or not. Only two would make it through this test, she wouldn?t settle for be the 2nd one, if she did, she wouldn?t be happy with herself. One of her many quirks.

When she came up to the checkpoint, she held out her ID and the blue light lazed over it and then a small red light turned green and opened. Once she passed, the door shut behind her, and it was as if she had stepped into another world. Outside the checkpoint, it looked bland, grey walls, no plants, no windows. Suddenly all around her was lights, holograms, computers, and the brightest minds to ever exist in this solar system. Now it was time for her, to be one of them.

Using her ArmComp, she input the ID and it pointed in the direction of the test. She envied those who already held the job she was trying to achieve. Various people looked over, they could tell using there ArmComp that she was a Gavech. High expectations were created which she wouldn?t let fall. Alisa had to admit, she didn?t know what was on the test, and she had been anxious the previous night and didn?t bother to look at the booklet. It was time for her to rely on some luck.

Others who were taking the test who had arrived early were already standing outside the door. To her, they were obstacles, to them she was a threat. The Gavech?s had risen to the high heights or NAR over three hundred years ago. Needless to say, it was quite intimidating. Once the others who had been in her elevator arrived, the door to the test slid open and they entered.

Meo---

He had been waiting for over an hour, standing outside a door to the Head Office of CID. Over a month ago he had scheduled an appointment to meet with the Head Man of CID, Dominic Heat. It wasn?t so much the waiting that was killing him, but the anticipation. This meeting was a top priority and could determine his faction?s next line of actions. Without this, they would be going in blind.

Suddenly the door opened and a woman stepped out. She was in her mid-thirties, but already grey hair had begun to show. ?Mr. Dominic will see you now.?

Meo went past her and stepped in. She didn?t reenter but instead went down the nearby stairs. Dominic was on his Computer with his legs up on his desk, with a look of boredom until he looked up at Meo. He stood up and went past the desk and shook his hand. ?Meo Ion! Good to see you! How have the preparations for Operation Take Back been going? I bet the Noi faction is getting a bit anxious to get going with it.?

?They?re indeed. Now before we talk anymore, this room is secure, right? No footage, no sound going outside?? Meo talked his eyes looking around the room.

Dominic clapped his hands together. ?It is indeed. Well onto business. You need that Intel correct? I have it here, want me to transfer it to your ArmComp??

Meo pulled out a cord from his ArmComp. ?Link it with yours, wireless can be traced. Don?t want you to get caught.?

?Yes we don?t certainly want that. To be found out to be giving Intel to an enemy faction, I would be shot on sight.? He attached both of their ArmComps to each other and after a short minute, the Intel began to transfer. As fast it began it finished and both of their ArmComps detached.

He spoke as he looked over the Intel. ?It?s still hard to think that you are willing to help us. Why was it again? My Mother never quite explained that to me when I was told to come here the previous times.?

Dominic crossed his arms. ?It was because of the Noi?s faction?s ideals, equality for all. As the great Lorel Ion had wished for. I believe in them. Now I want to ask you a question, why was the faction?s name changed from Ion to Noi? It?s Ion backwards.?

?You know how the NAR look at us, the Ion faction. We changed it to the Noi faction before we went big and so there was a less connection. A simple person could figure it out, but eh, we thought it could confuse things as Noi is an actual family that does exist in the South. Well are we done here? I need to get on the next shuttle down to the City.?

?We?re. Hope you use that Intel to further spread your faction?s power. Just remember to be careful, I feel a times are about to change.?

?We will.?

Well the RP HAS BEGUN!!!

Justin---

"Three......... Two........ One......... GO!" Shouted one of the children in the group who was counting down with his little stop watch. At the word Go Justin ran into the obstacle course the children set up for him and asked him to complete. Justin ran into the entrance of the obstacle course, the obstacle course had walls around it to ensure justin wouldn't cheat. As justin ran at full speed into the obstacle course he noticed his first obstacle was a large pit that he couldn't jump over but that wouldn't stop him. Justin ran at full speed towards the pit but at the last second took a hard turn to the wall and ran on the wall for a few feet and then jumped off the wall and was able to make it to the other side rolling as he hit the ground.

In one smooth motion Justin began running again out of the roll like he had done many times before. Justin continued until he made it to the next obstacle which was a door that was slowly closing as he got closer to it. "You have to hurry up Justin or the door will close!" Shouted one of the children as Justin went barreling towards the door. As Justin got close to the door it was almost closed and the only chance he had at passing it was diving for it. Justin dove forward at an angle making his body parallel with the door and then used his arms to push off of the ground and caused himself to do a sideways roll through the opening.

Justin picked himself off of the ground and looked forward and noticed the last obstacle was a large wall with two sides close together. "You have to scale the wall in order to get out!" one of the children hinted at. "And how in the hell am I supposed to scale that?" Justin mumbled to himself as he approached the wall. As he approached the wall he noticed that each wall had two ledges on them that had enough room for him to grab on and he could probably climb it by jumping from one ledge to the other.

Taking a deep breath justin ran up the wall to the right and grabbed ahold of the first ledge. Just hanging there he looked back until he found the next ledge on the other wall and jumped over to that one. Justin did this for each ledge until he reached the last one, he looked around and the only thing he could do was try to jump and grab ahold of the top of the wall on the right side. Using all of his leg strength Justin jumped off the ledge towards the top of the wall. Justin was able to grab onto the top of the right wall and pulled himself up and over the wall.

Justin started to breath heavily because the wall had taken most of his strength to clear. He closed his eyes for a second and then heard what sounded like a gun shot and something hitting the ground in front of him. Startled justin looked up and noticed a training dummy. "Justin if you don't kill that training dummy quick your going to get shot." Shouted one of the children as shots started to hit the ground around Justin. "Damn what the hell, how'd they get a gun!?" Justin thought to himself before running at a full sprint towards the dummy while making small movements to avoid being shot while he ran towards the dummy. Closing in on the dummy justin brought his right arm back and he punched the dummy in the head with his right hand. Then in one motion he spun half way around and used his left elbow to bash the dummy's head in a downwards motion.

The dummy fell to the ground as Justin was panting heavily and he noticed the gun shots had stopped. The group of children then came out of nowhere and they all looked like they had just seen something amazing. "Justin that was AMAZING!" The leader of the children said. "Yeah it was amazing but, WHY THE HELL WERE YOU SHOOTING AT ME!?" Justin shouted not happy with getting shot at. "Oh we weren't shooting you with a real gun, we were shooting at you with a BB gun and made it so it sounded like a gun shot every time we shot it." The child responded sounding very proud of his work.

"That's a terrible thing to do to someone like me, I almost had a heart attack you little punk." Justin joked as he checked his watch and noticed that he was supposed to meet up with his squad in a few minutes. "Oh dammit! I have to fly, you kids be good now and clean this up ya hear?" Jason asked quickly needing to get a move on or he'd be late. "Okay, well clean this up." The leader responded. "Good now I have to fly, see you guys later." Justin said before racing towards the place he was supposed to meet up at.

Justin flew through the city running around and over people as he made his way to the small diner where he was supposed to meet up with two members of his squad for lunch. As justin made it to the diner and rushed inside he looked around the diner looking for his squad mates. "Hey Justin! Over here!" seth called out. Looking around Justin noticed where seth was calling him and went over to their table and took a seat. "Sorry I'm late the kids had me run an obstacle course. I swear they almost gave me a heart attack in the process." Justin said while putting his head on the table.

"So your telling me that a group of kids tired you out this much?" The other squad mate named jay asked. "Shut it Jay, they started shooting at me out of the blue with a BB gun that sounded like a real gun." Justin snapped back too tired to raise his head. "Oh that's so scary justin." Seth joked slapping justin on the back. "You guys are lucky I'm tired or I'd kick your asses." Justin snapped at the two joking soldiers. "I'd like to see you kick our asses when you're not tired." Jay joked, it was starting to get on Justin's nerves a little.

"Okay I get your point now so you can stop it now." Justin said trying to get the two to stop. "okay okay, oh here comes our food now. If you don't mind we ordered for you since you were taking so long." Seth responded with a evil grin on his face. The waitress then set down the food for the group and placed a burger in front of Justin, he looked it over to make sure that they didn't order anything strange for him. Taking a bite he discovered that nothing seemed to be wrong with it and that Seth and Jay just wanted him to think that they had done something to it.

After finishing their meal Justin felt better and was able to sit up straight for once. "Hey justin, you ever get the feeling that something big is about to happen?" Jay asked out of the blue. "What, no there doesn't seem to be anything that I can think of that can happen that I would consider big." Justin answered slightly perplexed by the question. "Oh it's nothing it's just a feeling, but let's head back to the barracks for now. Who knows we might even get something to do." Jay responded softly as he left the diner. Justin and Seth looked at each other in worry. The two then paid their bill and then left following Jay to the barracks of the NAR.

My god did I write a lot. Well if you don't like anything I can edit this.

Lightning crackled above and rain fell down on a lone figure walking down a narrow street, shrouded in shadows and concealed behind a thick black cloak. The light from the street lamps and headlights weren't even enough to give off a glimpse of the figure's features. The man turned down a dark alley, keeping all of his features concealed tightly behind the dark cloak. The sound of laughter rang out in the night, and the source was revealed shortly after, to be a group of teenagers stumbling home after having one two many drinks. The teens stopped for a minute at the alley entrance, and then chuckled as they wandered into the darkness. Only the girls off the group seemed to have hesitation as they entered.

Their laughter rang out in the darkness of the alley, their footsteps echoed in the enclosed alley. The clatter of beer bottles rang out in the night, as they walked oblivious to the shadows moving behind them. The darkness grew slowly thicker, creating an almost suffocating aura around the teens.

"Adam, lets get out of here. Please, I don't like it here." One of the girls said. The men of the group ignored her, and pushed ahead, leaving her behind with the other girl who looked equally as nervous.

A hiss echoed out from the darkness, causing the girls to jump in alarm and scream. The guys in front turned around and laughed, stumbling over themselves in their inebriated state. One of the men fall back into the darkness and screamed a bloodcurdling scream, a fountain of blood spraying over the other guys. They had only a split second to process what had occurred before both of the fell down with deep gashes in their necks, spraying blood over the cold concrete. The girls stood speechless, frozen in fear as the figure from earlier moved out from the shadows and stood in what little moonlight reached down into the alley. The figure removed his cloak to reveal bright red eyes and black hair that stood up. His clawed hands were covered in blood and he was eagerly licking them clean, sharp fangs protruding from either side of is mouth.

The man laughed, watching the shocked expression on the girls faces with glee. He reached down and picked up one of the male's bodies, and sucked down the blood that was still spraying out, taking large gulps until he let the body fall from his mouth and it appeared to be nothing more than a dried up corpse. The man left the bodies in the darkness, moving towards the girls while licking his lips.

He drew ever closer, until he was within striking distance. The man lashed out with his clawed hand, aiming to strike down one of the teenager girls, but his hand never connected. It was caught by another hand, covered in a black glove and protected by a white gauntlet. The force from the man's attack created a swift current of air that caused the two girls' hair to whip back, sending them falling onto their butts. Standing in front of them was another man, clothed in a set of dark black clothing with white shoulder-plates and white gauntlets. His bright white hair stood up, and his eyes flashed a menacing red that was much darker than the other man's.

"The council isn't happy with what you've done here tonight Darrien. You look pathetic." The white-haired man said in a cold tone, squeezing the man's hand tightly and causing obvious pain.

"Damn it Cyrus... I never thought they'd send you to pick up strays." Darrien snarled, grimacing and letting his fangs retract into his mouth.

"Come now Darrien, before I break your neck." Cyrus said, opening his mouth to reveal a mouth full of sharp teeth, with a set of fangs on both the top and bottom of his mouth. Darrien snarled but turned around and shoved his bloody hands into his pockets, disappearing almost as if he was never there.

Cyrus turned to the remaining teenagers to see them still sitting on the ground with their gazes fixed on his back. He frowned at both of them, but bent down to help them to their feet. That simple move seemed to break them out of a trance, and they slid back to avoid Cyrus's touch. His eyes flickered a brighter red before he turned around and went over to their friends bodies. He easily lifted them all up, turning back to them with blood red eyes:

"Go home, and pray that you never encounter this again."

With that Cyrus disappeared in a small burst of wind, leaving the girls in the dark alley. The girls sat there shivering in the alley, where they sat in shock, crying and holding each other close until other people came out of their houses to investigate the noise.

-----------------------------------------------------

Cyrus walked alone in the vast halls of the Vampire Court. Large paintings adorned the walls and decorative wall carvings lined the walls. Cyrus had just left the meeting hall, where the fate of Darrien Vorhis had been decided. The details weren't final, and there was much discussing to do before anything was made solid. Someone was staring at Cyrus from the shadows, so Cyrus made a point to stop walking.

"It seems that even you are assigned with menial tasks." A male voice said from the shadows. A man stepped forward from the shadows, his bright red eyes cutting through the darkness and his orange hair glowing in the faint light.

"Angelus, a pleasure to see you back at the lair. I presume your done cleaning up after our lesser brethren?" Cyrus asked, not bothering to turn and face Angelus.

"Watch your tongue Cyrus, just because you are the council's dog doesn't mean you are better than the rest of us." Angelus said with spite clear in his voice, "Don't forget your place Nightmare."

Cyrus chose to ignore Angelus's first comment, and instead continued on into the darkness, disappearing from Angelus's sight.

Luc woke up in a daze Where am I? What happened here? Luc thought to himself. What happened to those vampires? I was outnumbered and had no chance at survi- Luc stopped mid thought when he finally noticed the piles of ashes that had surrounded him. "Ashes, why are there ashes here?" He said with a curious tone. When he went down to examine the ashes more closely his head began to throb and his vision began to haze over and become blurry. Everything started to come back to him as he began staggering around trying not to fall.

"It was me... I did this... But how? I'm not supposed to be able to use magic! I'm just a soldier, how could I be able to use magic? What the hell is going on here!?" Luc began running back towards the outpost he was stationed at, thoughts and images rushing through his head. "This isn't happening, it CAN'T be happening. Nobody in my family has ever been able to use magic" Luc continued to mutter to himself as he rushed back to base.

Night had fallen by the time Luc made it back to the base. As he neared the enterance a man held his arm out and said "Halt! I need to see your Identifications papers sir."

"Certainly" Luc said, complying with the guards orders. "You look a little wracked up there Luc. Everything alright?" called a voice a short distance away from the entrance. "Commander Jacob?" Luc asked as he raised his head and began to look for where the voice had come from. "Commander Jacob, it is you" Luc said with a smile on his face as he breathed a sigh of relief as the guard handed him his papers back and allowed him into the base.

"I'm glad that you made it back safely Luc, but you look troubled. Is everything alright?" Jacob asked seeming rather concerned that one of his star Captains looked so shaken up after a simple recon mission.

"Yeah, i'm fine, got jumped by a vampire. Luckily for me, it wasn't his lucky day and I was able to defeat him without taking too many hits myself. No amount of training could have prepared me for this. Just didn't expect them to be so strong is all."

"Well i'm glad that you were unharmed in the fight, you were right. It must have been your lucky day, not many people can get into a close quarters fight with a vampire and come out unscathed, or alive for that matter. But that's why your one of my best officers isn't it Luc?"

"Yessir" said Luc as they continued to walk towards the barracks. "Commander Jacob, the vampires seem to pose a bigger threat than we first had analyzed. I would like to request backup for the next time that I am to go out. While today may have been my lucky day I can't expect that my luck will continue to be this good forever." Luc said in a rather serious tone.

"Of course Luc, I'll give you as many men as you need for your missions. But I will expect that they all come back alive and in one piece as well." Jacob had said somewhat jokingly, Luc looked at him with a small scowl as he began to open the door to the barracks and proceed to his room.

"What? Did I say something wrong?" asked Commander Jacob. "It would be better for morale if you treated all your soldiers with respect sir. Not just the higher ranking onesw like myself." Luc said in a somewhat harsh tone as he waved and said "Goodnight, Sir"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That night Luc was plagued with nightmares, he woke up sweating several times throughout the course of the night. He kept dreaming of the base being assaulted and razed to the ground by vampires. A complete and total massacre of everyone stationed here.

I hope that's alright, I would like to write more but I feel that it's too much already and don't want to write 4 pages worth of text, at least not for my into post :p

It was dark, dark was good, dark meant no torches, no torches meant he hadn't been found, they were still looking though, Marcus could hear faint calls and the sound of footsteps in water, he grabbed his shoulder as it ached, he'd been shot, that wasn't good, but better than the shooter, they wanted him alive, the man that shot a live round was probably dead by now, everything was going to be fine, he wasn't going to be afraid, he wasn't going to lose himself again.

Marcus had been in the sewers for at least 2 days now and had wound up here, leaning against a wall in the dark with a gunshot wound to the shoulder, he was breathing heavily and fighting down his fear, he kept telling himself everything would be fine, it had worked so far but you can only say something so many times before it loses its effect, Marcus closed his eyes and tried his best to slow his breathing, and more importantly his pulse, the distant voices died away after a few minutes and Marcus sank into his thoughts.

They're going away, everything will be fine...
Will it?
Of course it will, we've done this before...
And they came back...
They'll give up eventually...
Do we hate them?
Yes, I mean no! I mean... they're only doing their job!
So were those scientists, do you not hate them?
...I do hate them...
Of course, they made you like th--

"Sir! there's a blood trail leading down this way!" The voice of one of the soldiers reached him, Marcus opened his eyes, he was running, he didn't have a clue where he was going, but there was a faint light from the torches some ways behind him, light wasn't good, his breathing sped up again, he was afraid, Marcus didn't want to die, but he didn't want any more tests either, he clutched his chest, he felt like he was going to die.

"Stop right there!" the Light had gotten brighter, there was a muffled gunshot and something thudded into him, it was thin, like a needle, a tranquilliser shot.

"not good, you're making it worse..." Marcus murmured to himself, his lungs felt so small he could hardly breathe, his vision blurred, "everything'll be fine, everything'll be fine, everything... will be... fine..." Marcus fell, crashing into the murky water he'd been running through, and blacked out.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Marcus awoke as a droplet of water hit his forehead, he opened his eyes to the night sky bordered with the roofs of tall buildings, he ached all over, he looked down to see the forearms of his jacket sleeves torn open and a distinct lack of shoes or socks, and the familiar pink of flushed skin on his hands and feet, he brought a hand up to his mouth and pulled away to see red.

"Again... how many this time I wonder" He said quietly, Marcus reached into the pocket of his jacket a pulled out a rather worn, blood stained cloth which he wiped his mouth with, he lay where he was for a minute or two, not moving, then he quickly rolled up the cloth and stuck it in his mouth, he closed his eyes and braced himself for what he knew was coming.

The pain hit him even harder this time, he bit down into the cloth and let out a muffled cry, his head throbbed as everything he'd done flooded back into his mind; the form he'd taken, the places he'd gone, the people he'd killed and worst of all, the people he'd consumed.

Meo---

He didn?t want to admit that the reason for the change wasn?t due to trying to hide, but instead, shame. They had failed to live up to what they were meant to do, and now the City was falling into shambles. Vampires, NAR, and Mages will rip apart the city. Making his way out, he saw people standing outside a door, none in uniforms.

New recruits? This is bad, more will be drawn into the war.

Quickly he walked out of the CID without the eyes of many seeing him. He would need to take the shuttle down to the City which according to his ArmComp would be leaving in ten minutes, so he needed to run.

Alisa---

The room was filled with desks and computers at each one, across the room, holographic text read ?Take a seat at any computer, attach your ArmComp to that one, and then wait for instructions.? Alisa took the one closest to the door, took the plug from her ArmComp and attached it. Both the Computer and ArmComp transferred data and then were fully connected.

Once everyone was ready, a man in a uniform came into the room. ?Everyone, I welcome you today to CID, your test will be tough. It will be split into Four Sections. This room is the first. You will be operating on a Virtual World, it will require you to get Intel on three various bases by intercepting Com data and then decode it in time.?

All of the screens turned to the NAR OS and then three windows appeared, one with various signals, another with a virtual city, and then Command Panel which various lines of operations can be typed.

?Everyone, begin.?

Kaylik liked to think he was a level headed individual....

However he knew that more than once he could be proven wrong

Three weeks ago, he killed an entire bar full of people (bartender included) over his own rage at seeing a gang come in and beat a girl to death while everyone just kept him back from acting before it was too late.

Two weeks ago, he killed a cop in a different city when he saw the man take a bribe for getting out of a hit-and-run.

A week later he was arrested and sent to a maximum security prison...where he killed 25 inmate and 5 guards in his ensuing escape after nearly being beaten to death himself while the guards just watched.

Now here he was...another city...another bar...another night....

"Hey kid, I said, what do you want?"

Kaylik turned his vision up to the bartender from the bar and simply said "Ice water...nothing else"

Everyone in the bar, men and women alike, laughed.

"Kid if you want water, drink out of my toilet, I don't serve..."

HE didn't get far as in a single instant Kaylik grabbed the man by his head and slammed his face into the bar, and then lifted it back up, bringing him face to face with him and he growled ou...."Ice.Water...NOW."

Everyone subsequently shut up and went back to their drinks as the now bloodied faced man got out a glass and filled it with ice and water.

The bartender scurried to the back, hoping to get away from the tempremental customer...noting on the back wall a wanted poster with a now familliar looking face....

He then recognized many of the patrons in the bar as bounty hunters and noting the price on the poster....

He decided that there was some very important paperwork to fill out in his office...in the back...outside...in his car.

As soon as the bartender left, one of the men left his table and took a seat next to Kaylik....

"You know...the price on that guy's head" he pointed to the poster, "Could set up most people for comfortable living for a good while."

Kaylik merely smiled and said "Sir, I'm just here for a drink and don't want any trouble....if you'd be so kind as to leave, my temper might not tempt me to sever your head..."

Everyone in the bar cracked up at that...

"Kid I don't think you know who I am. I'm the great..."

And then he dropped to the ground, his head having dropped already a split second before.

Kaylik began to shiver as his grip on his now outstretched sword tightened....

He looked onward to the other patrons who were reaching for their own weapons and with pleading eyes begged "Please...I just want to go in peace."

One fo the females looked at himi with pity and said "Sorry, but we've got a living to make."

It was looking to be another bloody night.

I don't know how to feel about this opening for my character as I just pret ty much typed it out in the span of 15 mintues but I hope it isnt' too much or too little. Either way, I'm sorry for taking so long. things finally settled down at home and I can confidently say I'll be keeping up more often now.

Cyrus lat on his bed, his hands under his head and his head swimming with thoughts. His mind kept flashing back to the two girls sitting in the alley, their body's in shock and covered in the blood of their friends. Just the thought of all that blood send a shiver down Cyrus's spine, causing a shift in his eye color that even he could see. Cyrus covered his eyes with his arm, letting out a sigh before letting his head fall back into one of his many pillows.

"Long day Cyrus?" said a feminine voice from the shadows of his room.

"Ah, I was surprised I hadn't heard from you yet Claudia." Cyrus said, not bothering to remove his arm from across his eyes as he felt the female vampire sit down at his side.

"I heard that Darrien was taken in front of the council today, due to his crimes against the humans... I hear you stopped him from killing two younger females. Well done Cyrus." Claudia said, rubbing his head as if he were a dog.

"Enough Claudia, you're testing what little patience I have today." Cyrus said, removing his arm from his eyes to reveal blood red eyes that pierced into Claudia's.

Claudia shied away from his gaze, putting some space between them. Cyrus covered his eyes again, seemingly cleansing the room of a dark presence when his eyes were no longer showing.

"Well I just came to tell you that me and Damon are going out to finish off a pack of those beasts in the north. Your welcome to join us if you wished Cyrus." Claudia said, taking a bow and leaving Cyrus alone in the dark, with the invitation hanging in the darkness.

Luckily when Luc awoke the next morning the camp Hadn't Been attacked by vampires.
"I'm glad that was just a dream" Luc mumbled as he began rubbing the sleep from his eyes. Unbeknownst to Luc a few of the guys overheard him, "Aww did baby have a bad dream last night? Does he need mommy and daddy to come tuck him into bed tonight?".

"Yeah it was a bad dream, you weren't the first to die in an ambush. Sure you bit the dust pretty quickly but I was sad that you didn't go first"

"What was that? Trying to be a jokester are you new guy? Well i'm not laughing and neither are my boys here. So I suggest you shut yer yap, lest I have to take it upon myself to do so."

"Try it Bishop, you won't even have time to swing your fist before your face meets the dirt on my boot. Let alone the dirt from the ground you'll be eating afterwards." Luc said getting angrier by the minute. Before he knew it he was surrounded by 3 men and their apparent ring-leader, Bishop. An older recruit who thought he was the best damn thing since sliced bread.

Ugh, great. Some people get coffee when they first wake up, others get breakfast. What do I get? A pain in the ass, with friends to boot.

Before a fist was even swung the door burst open. "What the hell is going on in here!?" Screamed Commander Jacob. "I will not have my men fighting each other when there is vampire scum to be killed! You will cease this bickering and innfighting at once or you will all have to deal with my foot in your ass!! DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME!?

"Sir, Yes, Sir!" They all shouted

Sorry Will add more later, rather tired and have to take my roomates to work

Alisa---

Faster than anyone, as soon as the timer beeped and the mission objective appeared on the screen. A signal was transmitting from across the Virtual World to a tall building. The transmission had an auto-blocker, so then any outside interception would have a hard time. Luckily for her, she had expected this and did a counter route to confuse the auto-blocker and intercepted the signal. The message appeared on the Command Panel, encrypt level 5A.

Simple. Alisa was also shocked by the simple level of encryption and was able to decode it. A 5A was something a simpleton could do in their sleep. It made her wonder, is this what they thought of them? Or is this the level of encryption they get on a normal basis. Whatever it was, she refused to ponder long about it, and just as she was finished thinking about it, it finished decrypting.

A notice appeared on her computer ?Use the terminal command, to send your data.? Using the command, >Send Terminal, it sent the data to the terminal in the front of the room, which she hadn?t noticed when she first entered the room. Suddenly another signal appeared and the transmission distance was a lot longer. She tried to use her method she used on the 5A to trick the auto-blocker but this one was much tougher. Most of her tricks simply allowed the auto-blocker to adapt and then go at her again when she attacked. Her fingers raced across the keyboard, you could literally hear every key she tapped.

Eventually she bypassed the auto-blocker, not by tricking it, but infecting it with a virus and thus removed the auto-blocker. When she got ahold of the transmission it was an encryption 1B.

A transmission 1B!? Now this is my sort of challenge!

The encryption went by numbers and then a letter, downwards it goes from 6, to 1, and then C to A. Each harder to decrypt then the next. With the 1B now at her grasp, she typed faster, but reread every line she typed to make sure no errors would halt her process. Eventually she finished the transmission decryption and it unlocked a message on her computer, it read.

Dear ID 102B2

You have completed Section One of the test. We congratulate on your time of
15 minutes for both of the decryption processes. This message and data have already
been transferred over to the terminal. Please wait till the rest are finished.

As she finished reading the message, she looked up as the instructor looked at her with an expression of joy. Most likely he is impressed, thought Alisa. He wouldn?t be the first, and hopefully not the last.

Meo---

Rushing down all the escalators and sliding down the rails, avoiding the usage of magic at all times, he rushed towards the shuttle which was in his sight. It was large, and full of passengers. She could hear over the stations telecom that it was leaving shortly. As he passed a counter girl outside the entrance to the shuttle he handed her the pass and she verified it, and then gave it back as he turned the corner around the counter to the door.

As he entered he pulled out a red stone, and swallowed it before moving on. As he passed through, a red beam line went over his body, to check for any weapons of such or if he was a Mage or Vampire. The red stone made it impossible for it to detect his magic. A personal invention made by himself. He took the old source of energy that was outdated when NAR came, the Magi Crystals, invented in the late 6000?s, and then modified the essence of it, and created the stone.

Once in the shuttle he sat down at a seat and then made a sigh of relief.

?Did you get it?? A voice asked next to him. He turned his head to see a woman, older then himself.

He almost laughed at the question ?Mom, of course, did you think I wouldn?t have??

She glared at him. ?Here I am Nayo, not Mom.?

?Fine? Nayo??

Cyrus walked through the halls of the council, his sword clipped onto his back, and his armor shining eerily in the faint light of the halls. He had sent word to Claudia that he would meet her and Damon in the north in a few hours time, which would require him to take out his motorcycle so he could get there in time. Cyrus walked through the silent hallways for some time before he arrived at the garage where all of the vampires vehicles/mounts were kept. One of the vampires sat in a chair sleeping. Cyrus decided to let the vampire sleep, and instead walked over to where something was hidden beneath a black tarp. Cyrus yanked the tarp off to reveal a dark black motorcycle with a large skull on the front that bore the striking resemblance of a dragon from the old times. The dragon's eyes were a bright red, and the rest of the bike was jet-black.

Cyrus sighed, and placed his sword into a special compartment built into the side of his bike. Cyrus started up the engine and tore out of the garage, onto a dark road that led out into the country.

Marcus threw up, no matter how many times he went threw that, he still hadn't got used to it, and he doubted that he ever would, he stayed down on all fours for a while, eyes closed to avoid the sight of his last meal, how long could he keep doing this? he was damp, cold and had barely had any sleep over the last two weeks, it was a miracle he hadn't caught something.

The only reason he hadn't given up was to keep them focused on him, the others wouldn't be wasted on experiments while they had a lead on a somewhat successful test subject, but he couldn't run forever, that wouldn't accomplish anything, he had to come up with a way to help the others.

Why?
What?
Why do you want to help them? they're no concern of ours.
They're in the same position as me, it's only right...
Would they do the same? after all, they are human, aren't they? fear and betrayal is in their blood.

"I haven't got the time to think about this..." Marcus said aloud as he stood up, his body wouldn't move itself, and he had a lot to do, first he needed to know exactly where he was, and then he needed to get some shoes, he started off toward what looked to be the main street from the alley he was in, it was somewhat dark, though he couldn't tell night from day right now, his vision was somewhat cloudy and there was a purple blotch to the lower left of his right eye, he blinked a few times as he walked, but it didn't seem to move, he'd just have to get used to it.

Cyrus came to a stop outside a large abandoned building, the lights on his back illuminating inside the broken windows and crumbling complex. Cyrus got off of his bike slowly, bringing his blade off the bike with him. In the shadows of the crumbled pillars, Claudia and Damon waited patiently. At the sound of Cyrus' approach, Claudia turned and ran at him embracing him as he came closer. Damon simply looked up, his eyes flashing a bright red color before returning to their original sapphire color.

"Cyrus, I just knew you'd come!" Claudia exclaimed, letting go of Cyrus and walking back over to Damon who stood up and bowed to Cyrus.

There was a moment of tension between the two before Damon straightened up and waited for Cyrus's orders. Claudia bit her lip lightly, as if she wanted to say something but knew better than too.

"Take Claudia with you and circle around the building. Make sure that nobody makes it out of here." Cyrus said darkly, his eyes flashing a bright red before he turned away from Damon and Claudia and made his way into the broken cathedral doors of the building. One of the doors was barely hanging on its hinges while the other was slanted inward. Cyrus's footsteps echoed in the eerie silence of the building. Cyrus saw shadow's flicker in the darker corners of the building. He ignored them, and continued walking until he was surrounded by flickers of shadow and whispers that seemed to resonate in every corner of the building.

Cyrus stopped, keeping his gaze forward and ignoring the voices whispering in hushed tones all around him. From the shadows stepped a man in his mid-40's. He was carrying what appeared to be a simple book, but Cyrus couldn't be sure. The man was almost a foot and a half taller than Cyrus, with dark black hair that hung down to his shoulders and hung over his eyes. He wore a white button down shirt and a pair of black dress pants.

"Cyrus. Angel of Death I've heard some call you. To what do I owe this pleasure?" The man asked, his hair falling to one side as he glared mockingly at Cyrus. His eyes flickered a dark red and he smiled a jagged-toothy smile. The whispering around Cyrus grew louder and louder as the dark-haired man stepped closer to Cyrus.

Cyrus said nothing, but his eyes flashed a bright red that made the man with dark hair falter. He quickly regained his composure, smiling and opening his book to one of the pages and beginning to read:

"The salvation of the righteous comes from the LORD; he is their stronghold in time of trouble. So I suppose that makes me his avenger. Prepare yourself Cyrus, because I won't go easy on you." The man said, snapping his book shit and throwing it at Cyrus who stepped nimbly to the side. The whispers and shadows all around Cyrus suddenly swarmed him, covering him in the shadows. They swirled around Cyrus for a few seconds, claws and fangs slashing angrily before they were all torn apart in a flash of red and black light. Cyrus stood with his sword held in front of him, a faint black and red aura surrounding the blade. Cyrus' eyes glowing a dark red as he advanced on the other vampire.

"You are no avenger. You are nothing more than a bloodthirsty hound following your self-righteous path. You are pathetic." Cyrus said, disappearing in a flash of red and black light.

A moment later the black-haired vampire was coughing up blood, his entire upper torso pierced by Cyrus' monstrous sword.

"You and your council will fall before our LORD. The end of civilized vampires is neigh." The vampire choked out before he collapsed in a pool of his own blood, sliding off Cyrus' blade.

The whispering stopped and the hall was silent. Cyrus stayed looking down on the body of the vampire, considering the vampires last words.

Marcus Staggered to a halt, he'd zoned out, he could've gone miles and not even realise it, he looked around for a moment before picking an alley to go down and came out near what seemed like the back of a rather run down cathedral, chances were it would be abandoned so he slowly walked toward one of the windows that seemed clear enough to see through, as he got there he found the window to be a little high but a nearby box quickly fixed that problem, as he got up to peer through the wind picked up, sending a chill down his spine, he needed to find some new clothes soon, but that could wait.

Inside was fairly dark and Marcus couldn't make out much, he put his hands on the window around his face to help his eyes adjust to the darker interior of the building, he could just about make out two people, one with dark hair and the other silver, it was still somewhat blurry so he tried rubbing the window and looked again to see the dark haired man cough up blood, something piercing his body, Marcus didn't know what, the moment he saw he fell back in shock, the box clattered on stone as he fell back, his pulse rose, this wasn't good, it was too early, he hadn't had time to recover from the last change.

"Not now, not now dammit..." whispered Marcus, it was dark, it was cold, his clothes were torn and now, when his luck couldn't get any worse, this, everything from before was fresh in his mind, the feelings, the images, the cries, he had to contain it, this couldn't happen now, not out in the open, they'd find him again, Marcus heard footsteps coming around the building.

"No no no no, not now, not... everything is going to be fine, everything is going to be fine..." he slowly moved backward across the ground until he lay against a wall, "nothing's going to happen, stay calm..." Marcus lay, in the shadow of the building, waiting for himself to calm down as he continued to mutter to himself reassuringly.

Claudia and Damon

"Well well. What have we got here? Trying to escape are we?" Claudia said, drawing a serrated dagger and stepping closer to the man huddled in a corner. Her eyes flashed a bright red before returning to their normal amethyst color.

"Claudia step back, we don't know what he's capable of." Damon said, glaring at the man. His hands remained in his pockets, yet his eyes never left the man.

Claudia stepped back, her eyes going from Damon to the man, what was in her eyes was a mix between fear and disbelief. It didn't appear that she would be arguing with Damon as she quickly walked over to where he was standing as he took her place nearer to the man. Damon crouched down and peered at the man, his eyes maintaining a dark red color, the color of blood.

"What are you and what is your business here? I can smell you, and you smell nothing like any human I've ever met."

It lay there, silent, it didn't feel right, it never did, the body it was in didn't fit, there was a sound, something speaking? it looked up, a stare of red met with its dark purple gaze, it cocked its head to one side, it looked human, but wasn't, it could taste the things blood on the air, but it wasn't quite the same, it didn't matter though, it was awake now, and it would not be denied, it was hungry.

It lay there for a moment, against the stone wall, still, then its arm flicked up and started to flail about, nothing else happened for a few moments, and then it remembered how to change, its right arm stopped flailing and started to grow, the flesh swelling and seeming to boil, nail became claw and hair became iron as the arm morphed into something greater, stronger, something that fit, it finally stopped growing, the arm was almost bigger than the rest of the body, it fit, but it wasn't right, it was tight, swollen, but that'd have to do, the red eyed prey had moved away, but it wouldn't escape, nothing would.

It pulled itself to its feet and as it did so its body quivered, the swelling spread down his shoulder and back and the began to grow out at its base, forming another limb, a tail, its tip burst to reveal and iron blade, thin and sharp, but no less powerful, the prey stepped back again and it, the predator, began to move with its arm dragging along the ground, all this time it kept eye contact, a stare that promised death, it opened its mouth and what came out was neither human nor natural, an ear splitting shriek which caused the nearby windows to shatter, the hunt would begin.

The predator threw itself toward the red eyed man, tonight would be time for something new.

Claudia and Damon

Damon brought his hands out of his pockets, each fist covered in a clawed gauntlet made of what seemed to be bone. He swung one of his claws with inhuman speed trying to impale whatever the man had become on his claw, and raising the other arm to block the creature's attack. Claudia stumbled back, disbelief clear in her eyes. Damon wasn't about to allow Claudia's death, he knew that Cyrus would be furious if that happened, despite how much he tried to hide his feelings for her.

The claws sunk into its strong arm without much force, there was no blood but the flesh around the strike began to bubble and move, trying to fix the abnormality as it held the claw forcefully, so this Prey had claws and wasn't afraid to use them, a challenge for status? the predator wasn't about to let a weaker being take its place, it pulled its arm back, forcing the Prey close enough and its tail whipped around and plunged directly in the centre of the Preys arm, bone could be heard, whether it was a break or shatter would be for the Prey to know, the Predator swung around pulling the prey off the ground, a moment later pulling back its tail while its flesh let go of the claw, as the Prey flew off in an uncertain direction the predator was briefly aware of another thing nearby, very similar by scent and taste, yet strangely different, but he'd chosen his prey already and so it again began to move toward the red eyed prey, only taking a moment to taste the blood of the tip of its tail.

Alisa

Eventually everyone finished the test, one other finished soon after her, his name, Donald Ivoane, a short pale, and slightly terrifying man who?s lack of posture was something you would expect from a five year-old who didn?t know any better. Hunched back and hair covering his eyes, she couldn?t tell what he was thinking.

Section Two was simple, it focused on attacks on them and how to block them and prevent them from occurring again. It was more difficult than the first section, but she finished it fast enough. Sections Three was all about keeping the system up to date and check for any failures in the system and fix them. Last Section was something more difficult.

?Section Four will combine all of your skills from the first three Sections. In this you will be fighting a Rouge AI who has taken ahold of an Industrial complex somewhere in the virtual City. You must find his location, block his attacks, and make your system is all working, all at the same time.?

Some of the others began to get scared faces, but this is what we have all been preparing for and shouldn?t come at a surprise to have a test like this.

?Begin!? Announced the instructor.

Already Alisa was on it, the attack quickly went through the system but she blocked off any attacks and neutralized it. She captured a signal going outwards and decoded it while updating the system in preparation for new attacks. Like a blur her hands moved across the keyboard. But then something unexplained happened, an attack broke through her defenses and she had to stop her decode to stop it.

Sweat ran down her face, it was quite intense. She brought up another line of defenses and neutralized the threat, and then moved back to the decoding which the signal that she captured was begin to fade. She finished off the decoding and from there she got the location of the base. From one of the other tabs she used an issue command to send the information to a virtual squad and they were already on it. In moments the base with the Rouge AI was infiltrated and she had won.

The screen went black suddenly before she could click confirm. She looked at her ArmComp and noticed it was saying ?Virus detected? from there she began to trace the virus using her own custom programs on her ArmComp. She smirked, the virus was coming from the hunched back man.

So that?s how you want to play it?

Alisa began to play a backfire program and sent it through the pathway she found in his system and just as it said complete, she looked over at him who had pulled back his hair and his eyes were wide opened. Her screen went back to normal and she pressed confirm. Still the first one done.

Claudia and Damon

Claudia covered her mouth with her hand, stepping back from the monstrosity. Claudia immediately drew her dagger, yet she couldn't manage to step towards the monster who was now aiming to go after Damon. Her legs shook as she watched the creature turn to attack a wounded Damon.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Damon landed against the wall hard, causing the old brick to shatter upon contact. Damon slid to the ground, clutching his right arm with his other arm and blinking to clear his vision which was now swimming. Damon managed to get back onto his feet and started running at the beast, aiming to cut out one of the eyes of the creature.
