I'm a pretty calm fella but Vanquish: Challenge #6 is perhaps the most absurd achievement in the history of any achievements (this includes Live and PSN). It requires nothing short of perfection of your mastery of the game to complete.

Once that was done though? I felt like a champ.

Oh and Infinite Undiscovery gets an honorable mention for a pants on head retarded name, gameplay of sheer boredom, and a story that could bore a very bored man.

I didn't start getting angsty until about the time I played this game, it's not TOO old, sure, but it's the first time I rage quit. A lot.
Virtua Fighter 4. If anyone remembers Dural, he used to kick my ass all the time. I never did beat him
Skip to like 2:43 for the fight

The only one that comes to mind is Devil May Cry.

Making me jump from one platform to another is cool. Making me do that with fixed camera angles so I can't look where I'm going and if I miss I'm dropped into a pit with a hundred annoying little demons (not hard to kill, just annoying)? That's not fair and gets old the fifth time around.

Megaman 2 on the NES I. Also broke a gameboy once, and those things were bricks.
Holy smoke, someone else raged on Mega Man 2, and the third reply no less. Dr Wily's castle?

The first time I remember really feeling the heat from a frustrating game scenario was in the original Wing Commander on my old 386 back in the early 90s. There was one mission in which the enemy fighters would seemingly warp into the midst of some transport vessels you were supposed to be protecting and procede to blast them to shit before you could travel the distance required to engage them. Inevitably, I'd wind up gunning my afterburners trying to get there on time only to have some smug bastard in the enemy squadron gloat "A proper fate for a coward," over my com. Grrr. To make matters worse, the first time I flukily completed the mission. I spaced out and actually erased my savegame of it, requiring me to do it again.

I tend to get annoyed when playing games, they all seem to have that one boss that I just can't do. But there was this one mission in the first Hitman game where you have to take out a drug lord, blow up a drug lab, and escape in a plane. Took hours to get to the point where I was in front of the plane, with the detonator in my hand, when my computer crashed. As this was before there was saving in the series, I was pissed. Raged so much I turned god mode on and went on a killing spree. Felt better. :3

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite has also had some bad moments as well. Hardest fucking enemies in any game I ever played, add in a weapon durability system and a time limit and you have the game from hell. I am going to shamelessly brag about how I just defeated my first Kirin after trying for nearly 4 months today. It took every single health item I had, and 53 minutes to beat the thing (out of a 60 minute time limit), and it isn't even a 'boss' monster.

Tony Hawks Underground. I couldn't "sketch" (?) the back of that motherfucking car for hours (the one in Jersey at the beginningish of the game). When I finally did it, no problems from then on. Really loathed that car.

P.N.03

Kudos to anyone who knows what this game is, and why it made me rage.
Ok I love P.N. 03 to death and the only part that ever made me upset (only upset, I guess I have some sort of saintly patience, never raging at a game or anything for that matter)
was the very very last bit. D:
I think I played it when I was still in middleschool, so it was pretty rage-worthy for me. x3

I think it might have been Pokemon Sapphire at age 10, back then I only used my starter and knew nothing about type weaknesses and the like. So if someone fainted my starter I would get pissed. I still remember how mad I got a Brawly's fucking Arm Thrust.

I don't remember any extreme frustration, but I know I had it. I'm tempted to say Touhou, but for some reason, I just don't get frustrated no matter how many times I die on any given difficulty. It's, like, really hard for me to ragequit a game anymore. I'm absolutely positive now that I've done it many, many times in the past. I just can't remember any of the specifics.

Oh yeah. I did ragequit Modern Warfare 2 playing co-op missions with my brother. I think I just used ragequit as an excuse to go do something else because I was bored, but that's all I remember.

Real life Baseball. Little league was a horrible time as I realized i was the most uncoordinated (can't hit for shit) and smallest person on the team. What really pissed me off was i tried WAY harder than anybody else and yet i continued to not be able to hit and sub par catching ability (I later realize that I suffer from poor hand / eye coordination). I recall getting so fustrated that I had adrenaline rushes and with baseball you basically stand around doing nothing for 95% of the time so it was almost painful it just have to stand around and wait for the adrenaline to wear off. I was too shy to feel comfortable enough to throw, bash, or murder anybody/thing when i got frustrated during a game so i just basically boiled on the inside.

End result: Baseball sucks, about a 500 to 1000 man hours of my life wasted, and i now like hockey. Profit? Profit.

reading this topic make me realise how old some of you are :p

First little frustration > megaman 1 : took me some time to understand that momentum applies in videogames thus if i jump while going forward i'll land a few blocks forward.

First big frustration > my hero on sega mark1.... Hardest thing ever after I wanna be the guy. 3 life, no continues.

First Frustration bite till blood > castlevania 2 game boy : Soleil Belmont and Dracula made me go feral and bite my gameboy a bit too hard i fear, resulting in one front tooth chipped and one lcd screen fucked up.

First frutration rape : Super street fighter 2 turbo (3do) : trying to get akuma to appear after beatin everyone on the hardest setting without loosing a single match... broke 2 controllers after 5 hours.

First frustration turning me into a killing machine > counterstrike : Got butt-raped all the way for several rounds and then after a stupid argument, some random CT guy said something about my mother being kind of a whore and shit (aaahhh good old Counterstrike haters), and i suddenly snaped. bought that big benelli shotgun and went Gary Oldman in Leon on everyone on the other team for 4 or 5 rounds... i felt i was unstoppable and after that i felt so at peace... :p
