Whatever, just wash your hands.
what are the annoying bits on otherwise fantastic games?

Ive been playing mass effect 2 again and I forgot how much the thermal clips annoyed me, not just from rewriting the story aspect but also from a gameplay aspect, it makes it very irritating to use some weapons, like if your going sniper you only get a few shots then you have to run around looking for more clips before you can keep shooting and on top of it a full thing of thermal clips only gives one shot back to the starting sniper rifle

I love how the lore entries make thermal clips sound like an UPGRADE.

They should be mixed in with regular cooldown. Like an instant cooldown, with limited supply. Why regular cooldown disappeared from guns is a mystery.

Morrowind...

Cliff racers. 'Nuff said. And I'd feel bad modding them out, as they are a core part of Morrowind at this point.

Monster Hunter series. The flexing after potion use can be annoying until you adapt to it.

Disgaea 2, and I'm on a horrible stand-still due to my quest to give Laharl perfect gear. It just takes too long, and requires too many resets to get everything up to level 200, and then there's the constant fear that I might have done something wrong which would cost me so many hours...

That's the kinda shit that makes me hate JRPGs sometimes.

Once I beat the story mode in certain games, that's it for me.

Finding the goddamn triforce pieces in Wind Waker. It wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to get a fucking map for every single one of them.

It's still my favorite game ever though.

Well, it's different with Disgaea; the real game doesn't start until you've finished the story. The final boss of the story is level 90, once you get to the meta game that becomes a small-fry number. I'm destroying enemies that are, on average, between level 6000-9000 in single blows.

I probably don't have to spend this much time on perfecting my gear since I can already dish out 50mil in on hit, but I want to get this out of the way first. I have only a few bonus bosses left to beat, and they're going to get really tough.

The last few levels of Crysis, in which you go from taking objectives at your own pace and in your own way, to having your every action dictated by the plot and various NPCs. It might as well be a rail shooter.

And then there's the VTOL level, which is the single least enjoyable gaming experience I've had in the last ten years. Seriously.

I know they only begin at the end...But at that point. I've gotten all the story/achievements/trophies out of the way, and it's time to move on to the next game. I'm a man of many genres...Shit. I'll play anything that isn't a RTS/Racing Sim/PC exclusive. And I have, too. From Persona 4, to Black Ops, to Dante's Inferno, to Professor Layton, I've played them all.

I play plenty of different genres too, but that doesn't mean I won't invest a large amount of time into a game to get everything out of it that I can. Almost 300 hours so far and I'm nowhere near satisfied.

For some games and genres, just getting the story out of the way is the best way to do it, but with others you'll be missing out on a lot if you do that.

If my backlog wasn't so full, I'd gladly sink 100-300 hours into certain titles. But I've recently acquired a large number of PSP RPGs to sink my teeth into...About 10. And I got the PSP about a month ago. DAMN YOU PSN STORE AND YOUR SALES! DAMN YOU TO HELL!

It is very hard to juggle Persona 3, Phantasy Start Portable 2, and Valkyria Chronicles 2.

And now I have to add Disgaea 1 + 2 PSP to that list. DAMN YOU, NIS!

Haha, nice. My PSP belong to NIS; I only have their games on it. Prinny 2 should be out, so after I figure out why my card's not working, I'll be getting that to ground-pound my way to arm-numbing victory!

You really need to put a lot of time into the Disgaea games, though; especially the first one. That game is the most hilarious thing I've ever played, maybe with Disgaea: Infinite tying with it. You'll be missing out on a good deal of hilarity if you only go for the story.

On the PC there's mods to implement that, apparently it was their original intention but they had some balancing issues and scraped because they were behind schedule.

Also replacement heat sinks should be universal.

I must have been the only person who liked that part of crysis, I mean least time I played tho it I really enjoyed the flying part but then again Im probably one of the few people who is really good at flying the chopper in bad company 2 with the mouse

Crackdown, the repetitiveness. I actually called it quits on the sequal and I hardly ever do that to games.

I think I've heard "Big Bird, we are heavily out-numbered, where are you?" about 3 million fucking times.
I hate that bit.

it would make much more sense story wise if there was cooldown again, wish I had the pc version, since I got the original for the 360 Im kinda stuck on that platform

Funny that's around the time I got bored of that game. I'd also like to throw in the fact that you only get experience for killing enemies. How you level up units, particularly your healers and mages, that aren't designed for front line combat will forever be a mystery.

OT: The final levels of Farcry really sucked. Half-Life 2's vehicles sections got old really fast, and the physics puzzles only served to slow you down (and were probably just Valve showing off).

No, that stuff's easy. In least in D2, healers get a bit of experience for healing. Mages, on the other hand, can dish out massive damage and so work out well in leveling up.

In the end, the Cave of Ordeals allows for the best way to level up; either stack a tower of units and attack to spread experience around equally, or equip a unit with some Perfected R40s and let 'em at the monsters, and suddenly they're up several thousand levels.

It's not like you really need healing that late in the game, anyway. Nothing can even scratch you, that is if they hit you at all.
