Ah, nostalgia. There's nothing quite like the bittersweet feeling of something long gone that you wish you could see just one more time (or just one time, as the case may be). Instead, we have to cling to whatever memories we have left, hope that someone brings it back someday, and stare wistfully out of various windows until then.*

So what is it that you wish you could do that you simply can't seem to get your hands on anymore? What things invoke a feeling of nostalgia with you? Do you think you can ever achieve the things that you wish you could?

I'll post the thing I chase after in a while, but for now I'll give you what sparks it. One thing is countryside scenery. I really do miss the idyllic sense that rolling hills and thick forests give. Secondly, a lot of indie rock provokes nostalgia from me. Two songs in particular really do it.

FYI, I loved this song long before the WTWTA trailer appeared.

Is Currently Not Available because WMG is a *****. Go look it up somewhere.

[small]*-Please note that though staring wistfully out of windows does make you appear deep and emotional, it is not recommended for extended use. If you experience a daydream lasting more than four hours, contact your doctor immediately. Do not stare out of windows if you are pregnant, nursing, or may become pregnant. Common side effects include depression, drowsiness, and inability to pay attention to the matter at hand.[/small]

Sad but true, gone are the days where the magical cure for any console problem was to just blow air into something.
Person A: "Hey Goldeneye isn't playing."

Person B: *yanks out game* *blows into port* *slams game back in* *flips power*

*James Bond theme*

Unison: YEAH! *high five*

I also loved that those cartridges were practically indestructible.

I still remember being addicted to Barney as a two year old. There's some nostalgia there even though i find him so God forsakenly annoying now.

Yes, the miracle solution to all cartridge games, to blow into them. I wish that worked with modern day game discs :(

Definitely, although I played games at the very end of the cartridge era, I loved them and prefer them over discs that scratch and never work again (with one exception being GTA4 with 3 rings of scratches and yet still works)

I have 5 Ren & Stimpy tapes (heh shows you how old they are right there) neatly ordered in my tv cabinet. I watch them from time to time as a means of transporting myself back to my childhood, if only for a few hours.

And there's the added bonus of getting the more adult jokes that they slipped in

Hell, it just takes an old TV show to give me nostalgia, like when I see something good from old Cartoon Network (before they got into ripping off crappy reality shows and making them feature annoying kids, and before they axed every one of the good shows they had). I miss the days of good cartoons, and ONLY cartoons on cartoon network.

I also miss the days before Twilight when liking vampires made people think you were just a bit macabre rather than some Stephanie Meyer fangirl.

Fret not people of nostalgia! I'm currently in the works of getting a cartoon launched (more than likely onto newgrounds or my own site) that pretty much stems for my longing of the old X-men series from the 90's. It's basically the same idea: A show about supeheroes. That's it. Yes i have a story but this cartoon will be made by people who like me, have a yearning for decent tv of yesteryear, when cartoons didnt have to plug the word "green" and vegetarianism, when superheroes had balls and the women actually looked hot, not like slim jims. I could go on but bottom line is, imma try to get the guy who did the voice of Wesker from resident evil 5 to do the voice of the main villian lol. If you dont know who that is, click here:

I know my genesis went through some SHIT and it still works to this day.
