When using a condiment (we'll use ketchup as our example here) do you squirt it directly on the food, or in a puddle beside it, so it can be used later for dipping purposes?

Personally i'm a dipper.

Why is this thread's name "The Great Debate"? I was actually starting to get excited.

It depends what food. Spaghetti? Squirt on directly. Fries? Puddle'n'Dip.

Dipping - if you squirt it directly on the food, then you get the condiment all over your hands when you go to pick up whatever food it is you're using the condiment for. Dipping just seems more practical to me.

For something like this I usually would incorporate a poll, but most of the time some eager beaver points out that I missed an aspect of it, so it's easier to avoid it.

Dip FTW.

Even better with Hot Sauce. Nothings as bad as drowning specially made Brisket (specially made meaning my family has a special way of preparing it that makes it awesome) in super heated, also specially made Hot Sauce for maximum heat potential.
