There are so many great Fighting Games like Tekken,Street Fighter,Mortal Kombat or Def Jam
but which one can top them all ?

and yes i'm aware that everyone will state opinion's and there is no true perfect fighting game
so which one is YOUR best ?

ME:

Mortal Kombat simply because i can have a perfect flow in that game and playing with the person next to you is such a joy

Def Jam really doesn't belong on the list in my opinion. Yes, it's a fighting game, but it doesn't have the history, or merits...or really anything good about it...except Def Jam: FFNY I still play that shit. They ruined it with Icon, though

Mortal Kombat, specifically Trilogy for N64. Though recently, me, my brother, my dad, and my dad's buddies have been playing SF4 every weekend, and they consider me the best of us all, but Im the only one who knows the super and ultra combos, so I have a huge advantage that pisses them off.

Super Smash Bros Brawl, but I dont know if it counts because it's more of a "stratigic" fighting game, with the items and interactive stages. I've always wanted to play Def Jam, though

Tough one. Depends on what you like, really. Virtua Fighter is the deepest, but the hardest to get into. Soulcalibur lacks some depth, but allows you to fight with weapons. Super Smash Bros. throws depth out the window, destroying any concept of strategy, but at the same time allowing for the most accessible experience, making it the best for parties.

Personally, my favorite is Street Fighter II, which really set the stage for every good fighting game since. It had depth and strategy, yet remained accessible, creating the most balanced game I've seen in the genre.

Funny how no one has said a WWE Game
Why?

I don't really play fighting games, but I'd be inclined to say Tekken 2, just because of all the fun one of my friends and I used to have playing it.

I have to go with Street Fighter 2... it's still a huge fighting game today.

Mortal Kombat's controls were awful.

Mortal Kombat: Deception.
It had a great fighting system with smooth controls.
The Konquest mode was amazing and you could spend hours running around if you didn't want to fight.
The Krypt would keep you coming back for more stuff to unlock.
Unlike Armageddon, It didn't try to do too much and fall on it's face.
When I first got a PS2 this game was in my system for literally 6 months. By May I had mastered almost every aspect of it. I haven't played in over 2 years now and there's a good chance now I would get my ass handed to me.

SSBM is in second for me.
